Terrible hearing aids. Don't work well-- and the plastic piece that goes in ear gets stuck in my ear constantly. I have tried replacing it, but no difference. I am past return deadline or I'd return them.

I have been partially deaf in both ears for fifty years since going to rock concerts in the 70's. My hearing is basically okay for most things. It is almost a blessing not hearing every little rustling sound or annoying people. But it is a struggle to watch television with my family or sit in a restaurant with friends. I have given up asking everyone to repeat themselves and just sit there nodding my head. In my past have gone through expensive prescribed hearing aids. When I was younger all I could afford were the over the ear saddle bags which made me feel self conscious. Now in retirement I spend most of my time by myself without much need of interpersonal communication. I use Bluetooth headphones to watch tv or to listen to music. My family knows to speak louder when they address me but I do miss what they say to each other at the dinner table. In the last ten years I have purchased a variety of over the counter sound amplifiers with disappointment in the sound quality. They had a lot of echo or were staticky and so annoying that I would throw them out in frustration. Now I am happy to praise Vivitone Super Mini Hearing Aids. At $300.00 dollars they are as expensive as the best magnifiers I have previously purchased. But the price is a drop in the bucket compared to prescription aids. This has been a long review, but I cannot say enough about the joy and relief I have gotten from these Vivitone aids. The sound is great. They are in the ear and virtually invisible (beige choice). I actually wear them all day with no annoyance or frustration. The price is right and the quality is great.

Very faint beep tones are difficult to determine modes and volume levels while installed.I must always completely turn off both and try again to begin over counting steps.Also steps of multiple beep tones are confusing as they are used for several different indications.It becomes difficult trying to change modes and not mistaking the beeps for volume changes.The instruction book is better than most, but I could really use a complete first setup step-by-step order from turn on, for mode first and then volume. Please instruct what you must do and what you should hear. Please explain what to do if the instructions don't work. Thank you.I felt it necessary to now lower my first rating by one star, since I never received any instruction from the vendor as to my stated user set-up problems. It seems its all up to the user by just attempting over and over what sounds good enough. hank you.

This is a candidate for marketing misrepresentation. The seller post classifies it as Hearing Aid and compares it to multi thousands price alternatives. This is not true. Hearing aids are adjustable to provide different gain to different frequency ranges to correct hearing deficiencies in particular ranges. That is not the case, it is simply amplifier that boosts all frequencies to a higher level. So for example if the hearing is good at low frequencies but deficient in the high frequency (typically in seniors) you would have to deal with very high volume in the low frequencies to achieve hearing improvement in the high frequency. The size is small and attractive in that sense but the setting is awkward. It is all through one button for volume, mode, and on/off depending how long you touch in seconds and how many times. It was a challenge. I am keeping it for a bit longer than the 2 days I have mainly because of the size but will see how comfortable it is for several more. The fact that it is an amplifier not Hearing Aid will not change though.

Very clear sound no squeeling. I got them cause tv is hard for me to understand some voices. I have trouble with low tones. I can actually enjoy watching movies again where before I would only catch 1/2 of what they were saying. Making watching movies aggravating.

I think this set of hearing aids is a great value for the money. They were very easy to set up and use and the sound quality is very good. They last all day from morning till bedtime without having to be recharged but the charging case is so small it could easily be carried with you in case you do need a top up when on the go. They are hardly visible when in use and very comfortable to wear. Great product!
