Perfect for helping me read as have neck issues
This is perfect for what I needed to read. Very easy to put together. Very sturdy. Really like the basket also. Hold my phone, glasses, and notebook and pen.

Game changer. That’s all.
Yes this is a game changer. It’s much cheaper than the other $200+ option you have probably seen. I have such bad neck pain that I stopped reading. I didn’t even realize that I stopped reading because of my neck pain until I got this. Just two weeks in I’ve read almost 300+ pages and finished books I started months ago. Before read like 10 pages/month. I can roll it around anywhere in my house. I use it to read in bed, on the living room couch, and in the backyard. I can read in bed and have the book hovering over my face. I can also place my kindle in it. Sometime I’ll use it when I’m doing my daily stretches and standing. There are some caveats. The legs are pretty wide. This keeps it stable but it could be a tripping hazard so keep it out of the way. The wide legs are also kind of…ugly…lol. The lever on the side is kind of clunky and scratches up the pole. These are the reasons I gave it 4 stars instead of 5. But those are minor flaws for what you get in return, especially if you’re a big reader who has a hard time reading because of ergonomic issues. Great, affordable option.

A great product
It was not easy getting it all put together, but now that I am using it- it is terrific. I can get my book close enough to read well without using my arm strength and the goose neck handles my tablet and keeps it in one spot while I make phone calls. I can swing it easily out of the way to stand up out of my chair. I like it-it does everything! It is well made-sturdy and works if I were standing up, like in the kitchen needing to follow a recipe. Lots of ways to adjust both arms-upright, flat or tilted. HIGHLY RECOMMEND THIS PRODUCT.

Broke apart.
Inadequate soldering. I haven’t used this a whole lot that it broke already. Now I can’t use it because it won’t stand up. Other than that it’s got some nice features if it would only work.

Inexpensive. Well built. Easy to assemble. Solved my fatigue from holding the items.
This is fantastic. I’m 66 and like to sit in my lounge chair and read. But the books are heavy for me to hold and my head constantly tipped down. Fatigue sets in fast. This product solves all that. 5 stars!

Would be a great product, but for.....
Overall, this stand is a good (borderline great) product, and I definitely recommend it. I'll explain a big gripe (and my pictures) later in the review, but I want to start with the positives. This was very easy to assemble. The pole and the base come in sections that easily screw together. There are three pieces for the pole, but you don't have to use all three if (like me) you don't need the full height. The arms simply slide onto the pole, and a knob is attached to each arm to tighten and secure it in place. Two features stood out: the arms can be raised and lowered freely to any height (no aggravating push-button pole locks that limit positioning); and, the knob actually tightens against a plastic lining on the inside of the arm's ring, which acts as a barrier and keeps the metal of the knob's bolt from leaving scratch marks on the pole. Nice touch! The tension of the arm joints can be adjusted to your preference, ranging from loose for free swinging, to tight for no movement at all, to anywhere in between. A wrench and hex key are included, and both are needed together for the adjustment. Make sure you save these! The stand has solid parts and sturdy construction. It presents as a well-crafted item, not something that looks or feels cheap. It mostly holds its balance, though certain positions of the arms (about 90 degrees to either base foot) can make it tip. Now for my complaint (see the pictures) and the reason I can't give this five stars: the book/tablet shelf was not level. I tried using the shelf as-is, but I kept subconsciously tilting my head while using my tablet, which cramped my neck after a while. Instead of returning this otherwise great item, I decided to correct the tilt by drilling new bracket holes. (Yes, I also moved the bracket three inches sideways, which now places the shelf almost directly in front of me while I'm sitting in my recliner.) I debated for a while whether to give this three or four stars. If the shelf had come level, five stars easily. But the shelf tilt was more than annoying, making it hard for me to justify four stars. So I'm rating this stand three (and a half) stars. P.S. --- Suggestion for a design upgrade: A bracket with a simple tilt function would solve the leveling problem and make this stand a GREAT buy. Another suggestion for a design upgrade: Make a cylindrical storage container for the wrench and hex key that will drop into the top pole section, where the lid of the container acts as the pole's cap.

Could be better
I would have given this a 5-star, but the roller base is so big. Sticks too far out on the floor. Sturdy and was easy to put together
