this is great for beginners. it's east to carry long distances and easy to set up when you need it. cleaning is easy too

My husband bought for his farher on fathers day and he was extremely pleased with the quality and durability of this panning set. He has seen his fair share or minning equipment and has plans to purchase another just for himself

Seems like a good product with one warning. I cut my hands trying to assemble this thing. A lot of the edges have burrs and will slice you up if you're not careful. You could wear gloves and avoid the trouble...I , on the other hand, took a few hours and some sandpaper, files, etc to clean up all the dangerous areas. I've been a metal worker for 10+ years, and this got me 😆. Other than that, I did find some gold in Mitake Japan!! Gold is NOT common out here, but this thing found me a flake and some flour. Mind you it was my first time using a sluice, once I get better, this thing is going to produce!! I'm giving it 4 stars, it's amazing for the price, just needs some clean up.

Bought this to do some prospecting. Created a metal frame for it and even a highbanking type attachment. Planning on moving past this setup but was a great first step for us.

Although the chute and riffles are seemingly quality constructed items, the hardware provided is of cheapest I've ever seen. 3 of 6 main fasteners rung off during disassembly after first use. Gaps between the capture materials caused unwanted build up which had to be attended to continually. I chose to rebuild the sluice using stainless steel hardware and replaced the original miners moss and rubber mat with new material that is cut properly and meets up without the gaps. As a side note - some hardware was missing. Happy with the sluice now.
