Asus NUC Delivers
These were worth the wait! I've been building NUCs for years. This Asus variant does not disappoint because still has the compact form factor, good speed for its size and it is relatively quiet. These are perfect for an office atmosphere where you need to have some speed under the hood. I'm talking about users with 25 Chrome tabs open, writing MS Word docs and using AI. These NUC's provide all the function you need. This is a kit so you need to have some know-how to setup. They do sell complete systems and they do very well.

Awesome NUC
I use this a my local plex server... It's mind blowing how a PC this small can be so powerful. Easy to set up, build quality is nice and you can use nvme and or ssd drives. Well worth it!

Fast, easy to build barebones kit
Had a spare 2.5" ssd laying around and thought it would be a good opportunity to upgrade from an aging dell micro PC with a i5 6500t. Bought some ram along to go with it.Installed Ubuntu 24.02 LTS, and have several docker containers running beautifully. If you run Frigate NVR you can use OpenVINO and the CPU doesn't break a sweat. Have a few 2k cameras and Google nest cameras sending video to it.Very easy to put together, and get up and running. My old dell isn't even in the same league. Highly recommended!

Excellent after trying several
Best mini I've used so far. Exceptional quality, which is whats most important in mini pcs which dont have much room for error when it comes to cooling. Can definitely be used as a small server, or just an everyday desktop without compromise. Not for gamers, not that it can't, just not what its designed for. Takes a little know-how if doing it barebones, but you get a better value if you do your own memory and drives, but drivers to some work getting right.

Buyer Remorse
Poor fit on tool-less case. If you do buy it, be sure to wait through a prolonged period of memory training with the appearnace of a hung computer (keyboard lights all on, nothing apparently happening, no screen display).Th BIOS is totally dumbed down. Even an inexpensive N100 or N150 has a lot more options. This is NOT a good developer computer. Very few user configuration options in BIOs. Big disapointment.Inside, the SSD is held down by a little plastic pin. Toolless, but in the future, it will probably get brittle, or turn to jelly like plastics often do these days. The case has nice metal components, but plastic at very critical points. I am so upset by this, becuase it is not like Intel.Intel used to have deep information on all products. Don't expect that from ASUS. But, you can expect a really nice box and even a little card with gold proclamations of quality.I am SOOOOO sorry that I did not purchase the genuine Intel NUC 13 Pro instead. So far, I would rate this a minus 35 star, but then you'd think I'm just crazy. I can keep it for performance, but I might just return it anyway (against my normal policy to return a computer because it is poorly designed, and against my normal policy to write a bad review, and then also return the device, but if I'm still not over it by tomorrow, it is going back because it implied Intel quality but does not deliver.Windows user, owned by the giants? You could be quite happy. Power user? Maybe. User who enjoys more options and durability? Not so much. So for you, perhaps a 5 star. For me, well, not so much. Very much regret this purchase. There are a lot of computers that will give you much more power and configuration capabilities for the money. Unless you can get this for a deep discount, avoid if possible.

Tiny and Powerful
Easy to set up, completely silent, very fast processing for standard uses, good storage capacity. Need to buy adapter for stereo speakers

Uses DDR5
Bought this about 8 times already. Barebones. No issues. Just need to remember that it is DDR5.
