This thermometer is good at this price point, obviously not designed for professional use but quite adequate for occasional temperature monitoring. I chose this particular one because of its dual display and the averaging function. Most important question is how accurate? Firstly I had already purchased a good quality clamp which is the most important accessory needed for most applications. Compared with a very accurate professional meter there is an approximate 0.3D over reading which for the hot water application 6O.Degrees C. I was monitoring isn’t a problem. If you need to monitor lower temperatures obviously the slight inaccuracy is important. Overall I’m satisfied. I notice that proster isn’t a manufacturer just a company that rebrands products, I mention this because if you look carefully on Amazon a similar item coloured Red is also on sale at a lower price, but it could be an entirely different unit which may perform differently.

As described. Good price. Basic quality but good value, fine as a hobby device. Arrived on time.

It is simple to use and handy for balancing radiators. Only negative, there is no facility to keep the back light on. I guess this is to save power on the 3 AAA batteries.

I bought this device, together with two clamp type connectors, to balance the radiators in my house. The device was easy to use, although the instructions were very basic and simply explained what each thing was, as opposed to the correct use of it. Nevertheless, I was able to use it more or less straight out of the box. I haven't tested it's accuracy, as others have by exposing the probes to a boiling kettle and ice, as I was happy with the readings I got from the central heating system. Radiator balancing is time consuming but even so this is far cheaper than getting a plumber in, and given some of the plumbers we've had in the past, it's more precise in its work too.

This does not work. Temperature readings are not accurate at all. Just turning on/off gives you different temperatures, up to 5C difference! The "hold" function does not work either. It just turns off after a few minutes. Might be good for the price if you just need and estimate of the temperature, but not if you need precission.

Nice little meter easy to use not the most robust but what do you expect for this money I would recommend for testing of domestic hot and cold temperatures as well as flow and return cross tempratures with k type clamp clips

Since this unit was so cheap, I it didn't expect much from it. Thermocouple based temperature devices are a bit tricky to design since the generated EMF is so small and you need a good design and good part to get an accurate reading. I just turned the unit on and the temperature read the same as the my digital wall clock-thermometer. If the probe tips are in the same place, then both channels read the same temp within 0.1 to 0.2 degrees. This is hardly a scientific test but this kit isn't going into a lab. Happy with the product.

Ich habe das Thermometer jetzt seit ein paar Tagen für verschiedene Meßaufgaben benutzt und bin zufriedem mit dem Produkt. Die Bedienung ist einfach und ergibt sich von selbst. Die Tasten haben einen schönen Druckpunkt, das Display ist gut ablesbar. Die Stecker sind etwas schwergängig. Der Piepston ist etwas zu laut nach meinem Geschmack. Mit einem Streifen Tesafilm auf den Piepser ist er deutlich leiser. Dafür muss man das Gehäuse aufschrauben. Die mitgelieferten Thermoelemente sind natürlich kein Qualitätsprodukt, aber ausreichend für den gelegentlichen Einsatz. Die Stecker haben keine Zugentlastung für das Kabel. Hier muss man vorsichtig sein im Umgang. Anfangs hatte ich teilweise hochspringende Temperaturwerte beim Bewegen der Kabel. Das ist aber irgendwie von alleine weggegangen. Für die Genauigkeitsklasse der beiden Thermoelemente (Typ K, Klasse 2 = +-2,5°C!!!) sind die Ergebnisse sehr gut. Raumtemperatur: 21,4°C ( Referenz: Arduino+DS1B20 = 21.3 °C) Eiswasser: 0,7°C (Referenz: Arduino + DS1B20 = 0,8°C ) Kochendes Wasser: 99,8°C Eine Kalibrierung des eingebauten Temperatursensors (=Vergleichsstelle) im Gehäuse ist auch möglich: Dafür eine Batterie entfernen, Power Taste gedrückt halten und Batterie wieder einlegen. Jetzt ist man im Kalibriermodus und kann das Gerät an z.B die Raumtemperatur anpassen. Nach der Einstellung Power Taste drücken und man ist wieder im Normal Modus. Eine Kalibrierung war bei meinem Gerät nicht notwendig. Brauchbares Thermometer- sollte mit höherwertigen Meßmitteln/Thermoelementen ergänzt werden.

Ich benutze das Thermometer für meinen Laborofen, um die Temperatur von getränkten Transformatoren zu überwachen. Dieses funktioniert wirklich einwandfrei und genau (ich habe es mit einem konventionellen Thermometer mehrfach überprüft). Gut für mich ist auch die Abschaltautomatik, falls ich mal vergesse das Gerät auszuschalten. Für meinen Einsatz ist dieses günstige Gerät optimal.

Très bon produit pour le prix, très facile d'utilisation. Affichage lisible et agréable. Qualité du plastique tout à fait correcte même si c'est effectivement un plastique dur (où est le problème?) Permet le branchement simultané de deux sondes (de même type) ce qui donne la possibilité de faire des moyennes de température dans une zone chauffée. Je l'utilise dans une forge à gaz avec une sonde type S jusqu'à 1300°. Difficile d'être sur de la précision de la mesure à ces températures mais semble tout à fait correct en comparant aux couleurs de l'acier chauffé. Par défaut l'appareil s'éteint automatiquement après quelques minutes mais il est tout à fait possible d'enlever cette fonction, contrairement à ce qui est dit dans d'autres commentaires. Il suffit de prendre le temps de lire une notice... Bref, très bon rapport qualité/prix
