Stainless Steel Handrail
This product is very difficult to fit. There were no instructions enclosed. In particular, there are no drilling sizes for drilling into the steps or for drilling into the stainless steel handrail. It uses Rawbolts to fit the verticals into the concrete steps, but they are of inferior quality and tend to twist and turn in the holes so becoming very difficult to tighten up. I gave up in the end and bought a set of alternative types from Wickes which were a lot easier to fit. Fitting the handrail is not easy either. You have mark off the holes and then drill into stainless steel which requires a centre drill and a proper vertical drill stand. I drilled the holes as 4mm which is about right for the self tapping screws as 3.9 mm is too tight for them to turn. It would have been much better to use Cap head (Allen Key) screws as it is possible to get the required torque without burring the heads over. Once assembled, the unit looks quite good but is not especially stable. A clamp type arrangement for fitting the handrail would have been a much better option and far easier to fit. Overall, not impressed.

Handrail
There were no screw holes on the handrail which was disappointing.
