Wilton Pixar Toy Story Cake Pan-Buzz Lightyear

I bought this to use to make my sons cake for his second birthday! The cake came out very well!! You could see all the indentions and lines very well. its a bit tricky getting the cake out of the pan though...But the frosting was the most difficult...the instructions ask you to get many different colors and different icing tips. I just bought the Wiltons Toy Story Icing Set (which is the basic colors for it) and i bought different tips. Icing it was WAY harder than it looks!! I ended up not following the exact icing directions and kinda just put colors where they looked good. but all in all i LOVED how the cake came out!! Everyone loved it and it was a big hit! and It actually looked alot like Buzz Lightyear in the end which is what i was aiming for lol :)

This was a great look alike to the character and my son LOVED IT!!! Made the cake decorating so much easier!

This cake pan was great, same as all Wilton character pans. HOWEVER, I wish in the description somewhere it would have labeled it as a difficult/expert etc decorated cake. I've been decorating cakes for over 20 years and this was a VERY hard cake for me to accomplish. Also: buy the suggested box of frosting colors...it was a huge pain to try and find all the colors necessary.

I made this cake for my 2 year old son who loves Buzz. He loved the way it turned out and asks for a Buzz cake all the time! It is a time consuming cake to make as there are about 8-10 different colors you have to mix up in frosting and also a lot of outlining! As others have said don't get discouraged when you are first doing the outlines and colors, just stick with it and it will look great. I have made other character cakes and this one really is a lot of work, but completely worth it! Just budget some extra time to get this done, and make life easier on yourself by having extra tips and bags so you can have one bag per color rather than having to wash bags and tips between colors.

It would’ve been nice to get instructions. I even emailed the person selling the pan and got no response so I am sending it back for beginner. It’s very hard to do without instructions… Very disappointed.

My husband and I purchased this cake pan in hopes to have a Toy Story Birthday Party for our fantastic two year old. We have never had any cake decorating classes and this cake turned out perfect!! It was a little hard to follow some of the lines made by the design of the cake but we did the best we could and it was awesome!! No one could believe that we had baked and decorated the cake. I would definitely recommend this cake pan to anyone! I must say that you can't judge the decorating of the cake until you are completely finished. Half way through icing the cake as the directions have you do...I thought to myself....THIS IS A DISASTER....BUT I WAS WRONG!!!!!!!! I just had to be patient and finish the whole thing before being able to judge what it looked like. I will post a picture of our cake soon.

Ordered to make a birthday cake for a grandchild. It was what I expected.

One of the most difficult Wilton cakes I have made. It required SO many colors and the picture provided as an example to follow faced the opposite direction from the cake.......making it very difficult to follow. It took me an entire day to complete, but the final product was gorgeous.
