Must be to cover tweeters.
The bars look great. Too bad the high excursion will hit it. Thereās only 1/4ā space at most. Iāll have to use spacers. Iāve bought others that are 1.5ā tall. These are only 1.1 tall.

AICARS Metal Car Bar Grille 10"
These are well built grills and they do provide some physical protection for 10" subwoofers. -1 Star for being too short. I added spacers to provide a bit more height in order to clear my dual DD redlines. Overall it's a good purchase that helps alleviate worries over fully exposed speaker damage.

First pair was run over, replacement was perfect.
The first pair arrived looking like they were run over by a Hi-Lo. Returned, second set were perfect. Nothing to complain the quality. If they came in more than just a bag it may protect them better.
