Fan was exactly what i needed. Very easy to install. Thermostat works well. Unit lowers the temp. in my garage quite a bit. It is no louder than a window fan , even when on high speed. speed is adjustable if you want it to run slower. All i had to do was cut a hole in the wall, and wire an outlet close to it, so i could plug it in. Did those two things, installed, and turned on. Works great. good quality, built well.

It's an easy install and works right out of the box. Just plug and play. It moves a good bit of air and is actually quite quiet. I can't hear it in the basement with the garage door closed and it doesn't vibrate at all unlike my fan hood in the kitchen. Haven't used the temp switch as I plugged it into a remote switch before going into the outlet and will just turn it on when I'm sawing or painting to remove dust and fumes. Great addition to the clean air aspect of the work space. Longevity remains to be seen but will update. So far a ten for the price and convenience. Recommended.

In the winter, when snow melts off my car, I get lots of condensation in my heated garage, causing mold to form on windows, etc. in the garage. I had this fan installed and now I can easily control the problem. I plugged it into a wifi outlet and I use that to turn it on & off. When there is condensation, I turn the fan on via the wifi & I can set it to run 3-4 hours (or whatever I choose) - this way it doesn't run unnecessarily long if I forget to turn it off. As an added bonus, I had new wood flooring installed - the kind they have to stain & apply urethane. The installer wanted to put a box fan in a window to exhaust air & fumes caused by the chemicals. I suggested we open the door going to the garage & turn on the exhaust fan. It worked great. You can adjust the speed of the fan to get appropriate air flow and this fan can move more air than a typical box fan. We actually didn't have to run it very fast. The installer was impressed.

All parts of the fan arrived in good condition and worked well out-of-the-box. The temperature controller has some hysteresis which was expected. So far the only negatives have been: 1.) the flange was too wide to fit between normal studs, but an angle grinder made short work of the edges, and 2.) it makes some electrical and/or resonance "buzz" noises at lower fan speeds, but that doesn't really matter in a garage like where I have mine installed. The fan moves a lot of air for its size! I'll be interested to see how it fairs over winter (I won't be using it then, but it's not installed in a temperature-controlled environment).
