Cut a portion of the plastic sleeve to the length desired and place it over the black rubber shifter. Apply heat. The manufacturer demonstrates with a lighter, but a heat gun or hair dryer will also work very well as demonstrated by one reviewer. The sleeve "shrink wraps" the lever quite well. No more black smudges on one's brown boots. And it looks good, better than the lever socks and latex or rubber sleeves. Can't speak to longevity yet, but the manufacturer supplies enough material for more than a dozen replacements when necessary.

Easy to install. It will yellow after a while and loosen. But works as advertised and they give you multiple to replace after some time.

Super simple to install Fit's multiple size shifters and works great Seems durable and should last a long time. Still has grip and comfort of stock shifter. I'm no sneaker head, but it save my shoes, so the kids at school don't call me out.

I doubled it up. This comes in 2 8in tubes so you can make a bunch of covers. My boots no longer get scuffed up. Very durable material. Comfortable on your foot.

This product is worth the buy! You can use it on many different things! It was easy to cut it to size and heat shrink it to snuggly cover the black rubber!
