Expensive but worth it
I started using Super Lube many years ago after buying an aerosol can of it on a whim. It worked well for a variety of uses, and I found that it tended to gum up much less over time than most other oils. I bought this because there are times when I need something thicker than the oil that Super Lube puts in their aerosol cans. This oil is an ISO150 viscosity, about equivalent to a 40 weight engine oil or a 90 weight gear oil. Not honey-thick, but thicker than many of the common lubricating oils like 3-in-1. The spray pump that comes with the bottle shoots a pretty large, relatively imprecise stream of oil. Not the best way to apply it and not really useful for my needs. I usually fill a needle oiler with it so that I can apply a few drops at a time. I like using this oil for any application where I suspect that a typical oil might cause plastic or rubber to swell or crack over time. Not saying this oil is completely plastic and rubber safe, but in my experience it's pretty inert. I've used it to lubricate plastic cams, sliders, gears, etc. in the past with good results. I also use it periodically on door lock mechanisms, car door hinges, the axles and swivel bearings on casters, etc. So far my results have been pretty good, though I'm really not using this oil for anything too unusual. Last time I checked, the price for this was about $25 a bottle. That makes it way more expensive than engine oil but not out of line with other special lubricants. A quart goes a long way for typical household use, and I suspect I won't have to buy more for several years.

Awesome, will last ages
The garage door wouldn't open and was about to buy a replacement door opener but decided to give this a try and sprayed every hinge in the middle of winter in freezing temperatures. And it worked! Haven't had an issue since then and haven't even had to reapply more then once (although I probably didn't need to reapply). The spray bottle isn't great but that comes with the territory I think with a relatively high viscosity substance. I got one of those oiler pump things which works way better. Oh also, this is NOT a personal lubricant. Save it for the garage door and not the back door

Good for Motorcycle tire lube
I use this to lubicrate Bib Mousse foam inserts on my dirt bike. Works well and a good price.

Works perfectly for my sailrite fabricator sewing machine. I also used it on the blinker switch for my motorcycle.

Cheap source of PTFE
You might want to stock up if you live in Colorado. This product will likely be "BANNED" sooner than later by the enviro-cops.

Don't use the spray nozzle!
I use several of the different Super Lube products on a regular basis. I like em, their lubricants work well. Including this oil. However, what doesn't work well is the spray nozzle that comes with this quart of oil. I recommend NOT using the spray nozzle with this quart of oil. Don't even install it onto the bottle cause the quart of oil will fall off when using it leaving you holding only the spray nozzle in your hand as you look down and watch the bottle of oil hit the ground, fall on its side, and begin dumping it's contents out onto the surface below you. That's what happened to me the 2nd time I used this product. Not just once, but twice. When it fell off the first time I just figured it happened cause I screwed it on wrong or something. But when it fell off again less than a minute after putting it back together I realized that the problem was not my inability to properly secure the two components together, but rather the inability for these two components to be secured together as they are intended to be. The male threads on the quart bottle have a finer pitch than the female threads on the spray nozzle, they do not match. Therefore screwing the spray nozzle on to the bottle does not actually secure them together very well which results in the two pieces, the bottle of oil and the spray nozzle easily separating from each other. Fortunately I was outside when my the bottle fell off, so the 8oz's or so of oil that dumped out just got soaked up by the dirt and driveway I was at. Falling indoors would have been much more of a hassle to deal with. Also, the spray nozzle tip has two spray patterns to choose from, stream and spray. When using the sprayer, the oil came out of the tip in a stream pattern for both of the two options. The spray setting worked the same as the stream setting. There is one good thing that transpired from my not so good experience using this faulty product and that is that the oil appears to work pretty well to rejuvenate old and faded exterior plastic parts on vehicles. When I was wiping off the oil that splattered up onto the vehicle I was working on at the time when the bottle fell off the spray nozzle, I found that it made the faded black plastic on the side steps look almost brand new. I thought that was kinda cool. My clients liked the revitalized look of the plastic too. I just got done wiping some of this into all the exterior black plastic trim on my 2001 dodge truck and it looks much better now. The oil is good, the spray nozzle is not.
