Portable Wireless Apple CarPlay Screen for Car

This upgrade version with larger screen is what I was looking for in a dashcam. Recording quality is great and CarPlay connectivity works as expected. There is no power on/off so you have to remove power source or select screen saving option so it doesn’t stay on when you shut engine.

So far I couldn't happier. My car has a tiny screen built in. It will do Android auto but not wirelessly. I previously bought a unit that plugs into USB, however it doesn't always seem to stay connected. Hopefully this device will solve that problem. If I do notice any disconnection issues I will update my review. Connect the phone to your car before plugging in this device. Then connect this device and it works flawlessly so far. The screen is large and fairly bright. There is a camera function to record video, however I did not mess around with that yet as I need a memory card. So I don't exactly know how that works. Does it just start recording when I drive or what? I mainly bought it for Android auto so I can see Maps, wirelessly and play my music and for that it's working great at the moment. The other thing that led me to by this item is that they sold one in the store which is only a 7-in screen and it's $179. . Thing is larger and half the price. EDIT: The only issue I have with this is the included memory card. There's note on the listing if you have an issue with the memory card to contact them. My issue was a bit different.. putting in the memory card froze up my unit. Removing the memory card made the unit work fine again.. without the recording obviously. The company/seller is quick to respond and wants me to test another memory card. I'll try one tomorrow. I still rate the product 5 stars.

Purchased in June, right out the box it would reset mid driving, usually after an hour of driving it would reset. I seen the comments about this and figured I would still give it a try. As of now, it wont turn on, loading screen pulls up and then goes to an all white screen, then shuts off and reloads the loading screen and repeats this process. I drive a company truck and there is no navigation screen in my vehicle. Decided I would let it keep doing this process to see if it would eventually connect. 3.5 hours of driving across state lines and it never once loaded. Stayed on the white fuzzy screen. I actually really enjoyed this device while it was functioning but now I am left with a $90 paper weight.

Speaker is not great at all, so using it to play music is not a pleasant experience. Screen is almost (or is) to big and it obstructs view. if the screen would rotate, it could be mounted near the mirror, but the screen seems to be stationary. It is working, but it keeps on opening and playing spotify by itself and that is annoying. Have not figured out how to stop this. Overall, I bought it for the camera, to use Maps, and to do handsfree calling and maybe play music from my phone. Have not used the hands free while driving, did use it sitting in the driveway, but the other person had a hard time hearing, so I dont have my hopes up for the handsfee in my vehicle. I do drive a diesel truck, but it should still work better then what it does. I was also hopefull to add a wireless camera to put inside the horse trailer to monitor horses while travelling, but cant get the app to appear on the screen. This might be operator error.

The only issue I had with the unit is you cant mount it upside down so it takes a little bit of adjusting to get it where you want it. However, the backup camera is perfect for large pickups with racks, IT IS WIRED, SO RUNNING WIRE IS REQUIRED. the picture quality is exquisite. The dash cam is a life saver. within a week was turning in video for an incident on my way to work. DO NOT DROP. was pulling out the SD card and bobbled the screen and dropped it onto the parking lot asphalt. shattered the screen into a million pieces. on here to buy another one. The connectivity for Android was flawless, all in all a great product. 11.5 inches is a lot longer on your dash than you think so measure it out. for me it worked out well for a full sized 4x4. thats it! thats all i got.

It works great. Great price, it looks slick and works good. No issues with waze or Google maps, also with android syncronized the music with your cell with Pandora,etc.

Pros: I installed in in a very old car. FM transmitter works perfectly, clearly. Easy to set up. The unit itself feels very solid and well-made. The touch screen is very sensitive. The screen is very bright and very clear. Bluetooth pairing is fast and simple, and Android auto just works, which is as it should be. Cons: When the FM transmitter is on, the "volume up/down" button on the left-hand dock disappears, and there is no way to get it back. The rear camera must be installed upside-down. There is no way to flip the image vertically if you wanted to install it right-side-up. The user manual is small, succinct, and is nowhere near exhaustive. I don't care about the sometimes choppy translation; I care whether it describes the intended functionality completely. That, it does not. There is no website, no customer support, no brand name, no way to search for any further documentation beyond this Amazon listing itself. So, if something isn't working as expected, you're at a dead stop. There is no way to connect to a WiFi network, and no other way to update the firmware (since this is unbranded, has no website, insufficient documentation, and no customer support). The reverse camera is not ultra-wide-angle. For a backup camera, you really want a 170 degree view, which is fairly typical in modern cars. This is 140 degrees, which leaves a lot of peripheral areas in the blind spots. The rear camera is arguably the single worst component of this unit. So, in essence, every time you start the car, you're stuck navigating in order to get the unit to do anything useful. I would have absolutely not purchased this one if any of this were made clear. I have not tried casting from my phone to the display. Because of these issues, I do not recommend this device.
