Review: Versatile, lightweight and value for money - Liked the size and versatility of this item for backpacking and camping. Would recommend.
Review: High Quality Mess Tin - I am thoroughly impressed with this mess tin. The days of poorly manufactured products from China is over! I admit I was somewhat skeptical of this item as this was my first time ordering anything from Campingmoon brand and Chinese made products have a bad reputation that has been around for years. This mess tin is thick, this means it doesn’t dent and scratch as easily as other mess tins. It also means it retains heat better with less of a chance of burning/hotspots. It doesn’t rattle or feel cheap. It has thick silicone handles that help protect your hands from heat. I’ve had European and American made cookware that doesn’t have silicone handle covers this thick. It has holes for draining pasta. It has nubs on the side that make it easier to handle and lift the lid. With many mess tins there are complaints about removing the lid easily and the need to grind burrs down from the lip. Not on this mess tin. It’s nice and smooth out of the box and the price is decent. I will be shopping for more Campingmoon products soon.

## Features

- 【Extra thick material, Durable】Compared to standard mess tins, this model is made with aluminum plates that are twice as thick (1.5mm for both the body and lid). Enjoy a higher quality mess tin with this upgraded version.
- 【For gas stove top, campfire, open fire】Due to this aluminum mess tin's extra thickness, it is sturdy and can be used directly over an open flame without worrying about warping.
- 【Holes on lid】It allows you to drain pasta, making it convenient for those cooking with a mess tin. When you don’t want steam to escape during cooking, such as when preparing rice, you can cover it with the lid turned 180 degrees to block the holes.
- 【Handle with cover】The striking black handle cover is made from an extra-thick (2mm) heat-resistant tube that can withstand temperatures up to 200°C and will not shrink even if heated with a lighter.
- Weight: 9.6oz / 272g; Material: Case body - Aluminum, Handle - Stainless steel, Handle cover - Silicone; Capacity: 0.65 Liter; Not suitable for: ×Microwave, ×Oven, ×IH, ×Dishwasher
- 【No Teflon】It features a tough design without Teflon or other coatings that are sensitive to heat, making it suitable for use over high flames like those from a campfire.
- 【Measurement markings】Additionally, it has engraved measurement markings.

### ⭐⭐⭐⭐ The handle needs improvement
*by M***E on January 4, 2025*

I like this container. It's thick enough, but heats quickly at the same time. It scratches easily. The silver polished finish is easily scratched and turns black on the outside. There must be a different coating on the inside of the pot, because it doesn't scratch so easily. It's reasonably easy to clean. Food does not burn and cling, like on cheaper metals, making for simpler maintenance. I don't expect this to look like new all it's useful life. Without abuse, I think it's going to hold it's shape and serve me well. It would have gotten give stars if not for the handle. It would be much more useful with a locking position. It's sturdy and durable in the extended, upright position, but if you turn the vessel upside down to empty, the handle collapses. The pan falls and the contents are directed backwards onto you. Same goes if you fold the handle over without the lid on, it falls into the contents. If the handle had locking positions, or more friction, it would allow you to pour things out similar to a normal pan,or pot. Likewise, you could fold it over and use it as a carrying handle. I like the size and quality. My only wish is the handle had a better design.
