I have been pleasantly surprised by how much warmth this provides under my desk. My feet and legs are not cold even on the lowest setting, and even when I have a skirt on. I love that it has an auto-off feature, and it's nice that you can adjust all the settings for time and temp, but honestly, the default setting has been doing a wonderful job for me without fussing with anything else. I also like that it's silent. There is nothing to indicate when the heater is on or off audibly. It was super easy to set up, and although I was worried about how long it would continue standing up, so far it's been going a month without falling over. There are supports to add to the corners that help. It IS a bit bigger than other normal space heaters, but I don't notice it under the desk in the office (I have a cube) and no one else seems to have noticed it either (perhaps the cleaning crew, but no one has said anything!). I can't say enough how well this works. Highly recommend. I even bought it on the "discounted" program because I guess someone else returned it, and I haven't had one problem with it at all. Works perfectly.

This works great and keeps my feet and legs warm. I also have the WhisperHeat Heated Floor Mat and combined these two are awesome. My home office is very cold and it's currently 10 degrees (F) where I live. I'm wearing shorts and both my feet and legs are toasty warm. Combined, they even warm up under my desk so that the heat spills out from under my desk and I can feel it on my upper body.

My desk is right next to the window, and it is uncomfortable to study in the winter because the heat does not come out well. Halogen Lamp Heater is uncomfortable for the eyes, and the heater that blows hot air makes it hard to concentrate on studying because of the noise. However, WhisperHeat does not light, does not make noise, and does not smell, so I can concentrate on studying. The heater itself is not hot, so it is safe to touch with my hand. It is safe even if children or puppy are nearby. Also no need to worry about the electricity bill. I like it

Set it up for two hours to test and offgas per the details, within an hour the left side panel started to delaminate. Returning immediately.

Purchased to use at work and yes, I'm one of those that read ALL the reviews and while there were some that hated on the design it works as advertised and keeps the chill off my feet & lower legs. Pros: #1 It's quite! Like no sound whatsoever. I hate hearing my space heater run, so this was a bonus for me! #2 Fits nicely under the desk and quick to store. Me personally, I just leave it up under my desk. #3 Auto shutoff after 2 or 4 hours. I leave mine set on 4 hrs and use it 2x a day at work. #4 Consistent Heat! It's not a space heater, but it definitely heats up nicely under the desk. #5 Will not burn you if you accidently touch it or rub your leg around it. Kinda like a heating pad that gives off that extra heat. I sometimes rub my feet and legs against it. Cons: #1 Don't expect a space heater. While the consistent heat is there, it's not like a space heater, but again...I knew that when I bought it. #2 You need to be close to feel the heat. I sit up close to my desk (typing away with it on now) and I'm probably about 6-8 inches away from the panels, it's warm but not super hot. #3 Cost - It's a little pricey, but again it does the job I purchased it for. Overall I'd buy it again. It does what I wanted and I'm not having to listen to a space heater run and only heat the back of my legs and chair! I'm cold natured, and this works well enough that I'm not running my space heater multiple times a day either.

I love that it is quiet, and puts off an amazing amount of heat!! The problem I have always had with space heaters, specifically under the desk, is that it is hard to hear, and they only toast one side of your legs and you never feel warm. This not only warms your legs, but the floor in front of them, so that your feet are not cold either! I don't know where this has been all of my life, but it is no longer a want, but a NEED in my office!

Unfortunately I'm having to return this heater. It is very quiet which is great for the work environment which is why I'm giving 2 stars. This heater, on its highest setting, doesn't put out much heat at all and this could be a design limitation since it doesn't have a blower like a traditional space heater.

First off, read the label on it. It tells you to run for 2hrs before using to eliminate the smell. It's not a bad smell but some people may be sensitive to it. Pros - it does stay a nice consistent warm - it's silent - the timer is a nice feature Cons - in a drafty and cold office, it doesn't quite get warm enough. My feet are still cold even with it running - it needs to be close to really feel the warmth. I have it touching my feet and slightly wrapped around my legs. - takes some time to warm up. While I think this would be great for someone who might get slightly cold, it just doesn't work for my needs. Again, where I work it's cold and drafty. I wanted this because a space heater was loud plus and I have to shut it off when I leave my desk. This one I don't have to worry about if it stays on, plus it had a timer.
