HP MAKE THE BEST PRINTERS GOING (In my opinion)
This printer is so simple to set up, you can either set it up using Bluetooth on a phone or tablet, or it can be done using a computer. The print speed is really quick, and the quality of the paperwork or photos is absolutely first class. Should you purchase a HP printer, you must get one that allows Instant Ink, it really does cut down on the price of printing. I purchased this one for 2 main reasons: 1. My old HP printer, after 7 years, had finally packed up, I could’ve got it repaired but I wanted a more up-to-date model. 2. This one is being purchased using the Amazon pay in 5 instalments, such a handy way to pay without having to pay any form of interest. This model is perfect for using at home, printing photos, copying paperwork, or scanning stuff, it’s also perfect for business too. This printer does the lost, and there’s no chance of running out of ink whilst printing. Should it be printing a photo and there’s not a lot of ink left, this printer won’t let you print if the ink is too low. This is a great feature, how many times have you printed a photo, but it runs out of a particular colour whilst printing and the photo comes out with bits missing, that’s a waste of paper and the other ink. This printer comes with some really good features, there’s a setting that uses a sheet of paper to clean all the rollers, it’ll clean the printhead automatically, making sure it’ll always give a high standard of print. The paper draw automatically tells the printer what size paper you have inserted. Should you wish to copy a document, simply place the document face up and the printer will automatically feed the document through the scanner and back out again. These guys at HP have really thought of everything.

Excellent Replacement Printer
We bought this printer to replace an elderly HP Envy 5540 which has given us sterling service for years. This was a doddle to set up (although I’m nearly 80) even though my desktop and laptop are quite elderly Apple Macs. I’m on the HP One important piece of advice to other buyers is to read the specs very carefully because my first purchase wouldn’t work with my old Macs and reading the small print in the add it only listed (from memory) iPad and iPhone but not desktops and laptops. Anyway, well chuffed with this.

HP Envy 6430e looks neat
This is not the easiest printer to get to know, typically the upgrade from my last HP Envy took the simple straight forward system and made it more complicated. Having said that, after using it for several weeks I can say the first improvement is the Paper rest which is broader and seems stronger. The paper storage is less but I do like the storage drawer it looks neat. I Do Not Like the system for manually copying on the flashing display the HP Envy 4507 System was more straight forward and easier to use. There is very little guidance on how to use this machine it is very much hit and miss trial and error which wastes paper and so far I cannot find a way of increasing or decreasing the size of my photocopies which was so simple on my old machine. Of course as I am not technical and am no longer young I need simple machines On the whole this machine is a good machine.

Piece of crap
I previously owned a £35 HP printer that lasted me reliably for well over a decade until the paper grabber failed, so I wanted to replace it with a newer HP model. Unfortunately, this printer is the buggiest, most unreliable piece of crap I've owned in quite some time. Good luck connecting by Wi-Fi; you probably won't succeed! This printer is particularly useless if you want to relocate it to another part of the room or house, so you'll be stuck with it connected via a USB cable, which is the only reliable option to connect with. The other issues I face with this printer is constantly drying up ink cartridges and partial misprints, which the utility tools don't adequately correct. Unlike older models, there is no screen interface on the printer itself any longer and no physical buttons to press; it's all a flat touch interface, and the backlit icons aren't intuitive enough to gauge what they mean without reading a separate key. Without an independent screen, you're forced to use their equally slow and buggy HP Smart printer software to manage the printer; if this worked reliably, the lack of a display on the printer might not have been an issue. But, on the plus side, the LED coloured lights do look good!

Great little printer
We bought this to replace an old HP 7520 printer. This was almost a breeze to set up. Various Wi-Fi connection issues, and sometimes you just have to give it a while to be picked up on the network, but I’ve been pretty impressed. It’s quicker than our old printer. Double sided printing works well. Not tried any photo printing - who prints photos these days anyway. It’s much smaller than our old printer which is nice, as this sits in our living room, and it’s far less obtrusive than the larger black printer. Very happy and the instant ink seems a pretty good deal, 6months free and then you get £10 credit. The cartridges that came with it did about 50 pages and then needed changing. We don’t do a lot of printing so I’m interested to see how long the instant ink cartridges last.

Overall an excellent printer
So far an excellent printer and very easy to install. Print quality and speed as expected, scanner and copier is very easy to operate and the whole thing is quiet. I've only had it a couple of days so don't know about the ink life. The only cable you need is the one supplied (the power cable). Good value for money in my opinion.

Ink that comes with it is rubbish
The printer on a whole is brilliant was tricky to set up but managed to get it done. The reason for the low rating is the ink it came with printed 5 pages and is out of ink so leaving us with no ink to print.

I'm not overly happy with the quality of the printing, there's plenty of room for improvement. Seems to use up a lot of ink quickly also. Wouldn't purchase this again.
