Great grill for those who live in buildings with a balcony!
I have a decent size balcony and wanted to take advantage of having a grill to cook for the spring and summer days since I am a huge cooking fan, let alone grilling. Unfortunately as others have said, I cannot have gas nor charcoal due to flames and fire hazard. I was iffy on having an electric grill as I didn't think it would produce the results and grill marks as traditional grilling provides. Spent a ton of time researching and came across this grill. First off, it's a Weber. That is a very trusted brand within the bbq community and their regular grills are known to be top notch and of great quality. Plus reading the rave reviews here on how well this performed, I took a chance and ordered this. There is more than enough surface area to cook multiple items and all areas cook evenly thanks to the quality craftsmanship. The grates also create a nice grill mark on your favorite meats and veggies making it look very attractive. Two years later, this grill is still going on strong and working great. Still cooking all my favorite items with even heat distribution across the entire surface area. Cleanup isn't to bad as I've found myself lining up the pan with foil to let the grease go straight into the drip pan. I just need to clean the grates and replace the drip pan and we are good to go for the next cooking session. Highly recommend if you are in the market for an electric grill. You will not be disappointed.

A convincingly good product for this skeptic.
We recently moved to a high rise condo than bans propane and charcoal grilling on the veranda. The purchase of the Q 2400 felt like a forced/least preferable option to comply with fire and HOA regulations. Even reading the positive reviews, I was skeptical to say the least. After using the grill for two weeks, I have to reluctantly admit to being impressed. As other reviewers have stated, you need to allow 15-20 minutes for the grill to warm to cooking temperature. (Places it between charcoal and propane in terms of time period from ignition to grilling.) I found that the grill cooks evenly, and the end product tasted surprisingly good. You are able to get a decent char" on chicken, steaks, and veggies. The heat seems to be even at all points on the grill surface. And one feature I know is a plus - is not running out of propane in the middle of a grilling session. (Although I know propane and charcoal hold the advantage for cooking during power outages.) Construction is solid, including heavy porcelain coated cast iron grates that retain heat for searing. I purchased the Weber 6557 Q Portable Cart. I preferred this cart over the Webber 6525 Q Cart since the 6557 folds easily for storage if you have a grilling off season. The Q 2400 fits the bill nicely if you want to grill in a propane/charcoal free zone, and I would say even competes with propane for its ability to grill tasty meats and veggies. It has been a surprisingly good purchase. In summary, given the price, ease of use, quality, and grilling results,

Great electric grill!!
After our big old gas grill went for a swim in the pool (Hurricane Matthew - who knew a grill could grow legs!) we decided it was time for a change. After reading other reviews, Amazon and elsewhere we gave this baby a try. Super easy to assemble, (which was not the case with the little cart/stand we bought with this) portable, and NO MORE GAS! It's perfect for two, but we could cook for four or six easily. Will fit a rack of ribs easily. This one gets hot! I was surprised at how quickly it heated, and stayed hot hot hot! The construction is very sturdy, the lid is heavy, which is why the heat is so good on this. We have cooked chicken breasts, which came out as flavorful and juicier than our old gas grill. The burgers we made, the same story. Best of all, we can keep it in the garage, and it can quickly wheel on to the front patio, plug it in and cook. Last week it was very windy, so we just wheeled it out to the back of the house, no problem. Living at the beach, we have gone through so many grills. It didn't matter what kind of cover we used, they all eventually rust after about 3 years, 4 if you're lucky, Clean up is so easy now. I would highly recommend this if you are thinking of going electric.

Great electric grill with limits
This is a review on the Weber Q 2400 electric grill I have used the 2400 electric q grill for a month now and have been pleased. I am a Weber fan and this is my 5th Weber grill and will compare the ones I have owned. Kettle charcoal grill - in my opinion, the best grill on the market. You can't beat the flavor from a quality stack of coals. However, this one has limitations like being in apartments or having cooking time limitations making waiting for burning coals a challenge. Q 100 and 300 series. Both cook very well and evenly. The 100 has a smaller grilling area, and the 300 is perfect size for a family. The Q series is great because the heavy grill plate distributes the heat very well through the entire cooking surface. The 300 is not as portable as the 100. The 2400 electric is excellent for what it is. It has the same heavy grilling surface as the other q models Pros of the 2400: - Electric burners are clean and it simply can't get easier or more convenient. - It has Weber’s quality in the product. - Heats nicely and can put a nice sear on meat. I read a few people criticize the grill for lack of making a good sear – I have not noticed that as a problem. - Has a nice flavor, better than expected. Most of the grilling flavor comes from the smoke from the meat juices, and this grill, like all the other Q’s, keeps the smoke contained to flavor the meat. - Easier to clean than the 100\300. It has aluminum liners that can come out of the shell that are easier to clean than the bare shell. Cons - Expensive - It doesn’t seem cook as well at low settings as the gas grills based on one experience. I like to grill salmon at a low temp and it didn’t cook quite as well as the gas grill. I think this is due to the burners turning off and on versus a very low constant flame. I think there may be a learning curve for this, as it was based on one experience. - Cooking in between the metal grates on the grill plate is not quite as crisp as the gas. It does a good job, but I think the constant adjustable gas heat cooks in between a little better. My over all opinion is if you can do charcoal, the kettle is hard to beat. If charcoal is not an option then I would suggest the Q gas grill. My family lives in a rural area where getting a propane tank filled is a bit of a pain, so we went electric. The flavor with the gas is a little better, but it is not a huge difference. You can still get the great grill flavor with the electric grill. It also did a great job on kebab with both meats and veggies. If you like Weber’s and need to go electric the good news is you can still get a great piece of meat off this grill, and I would highly recommend it this case. Addendum: Having used the grill for over a year, I can add more. First, I would get the propane first, if possible. The constant adjustable heat is superior. I do think Weber made an electric grill as good as you can get. It's electric. It's not as weather proof. Ours stopped working after 1.5 years. We lived in Kodiak, AK with alot of wind and rain. We kept it covered. Went back to the q2200 gas grill.

LOVE this QUALITY item .. great size .. happy
Where do i start? WELL packed, QUALITY ITEM, easy to put together. Very pleased with my purchase and definitely see this as an ‘investment. HONESTLY I started looking at electric grills and didn’t want to be spending more than $100 —- TOTALLY recognize you get what you pay for. i use this grill 2- 5 times per week and every meal is spot on. Weber makes registering SN easy. They have an app for all sorts of goodies, that was a surprise. Again the quality of this item is really awesome and i am very happy with my purchase. I did use an oven thermometer inside and set at medium temp was a steady 275 degrees. I was pleased with how it maintained the temp even with opening the lid. Make sure you measure the size to make sure your table top where it will sit is big enough. This Q2400 is pretty big and will hold alot of food. I opted to get this model instead of Q1200 ‘BECAUSE’ it was bigger for kids, grandkids, family visiting for BBQ THANK YOU WEBER for holding a nice standard for quality UPDATE 09-14-2020 - STILL very pleased with my purchase. I use it about 5-6x a week. I grill chicken, fish, all sorts of veggies, all sorts of fruit and haven't missed a beat. LOVE THIS ITEM. Some folks growl about how it doesn't keep it's heat when you lift lid to turn or check on status. UMMMM, sort of to be expected same as any other grill you have. I don't notice much of a heat loss, maybe i am dumb i don't know. PLEASED BEYOND MEASURE WITH THIS THING.

Pizza Pizza Pizza
Our Q2400 was easy to assemble, is remarkably large size, sturdy on the Weber stand. Making BBQ pizza on our gas BBQ grill has been a favorite. When our condo HOA outlawed gas BBQ grills we thought it was the end of an era. We found nothing in our research on electric grills about cooking pizza. We went with the Weber Q2400 due to its high ratings. So happy to report it does an excellent job with pizza. Hooray! Crisp crust, gooey cheese, nice charring. Mmm. Did a great job with halibut, too. So far, we aren't missing our gas grill a bit.

Best electric grill we’ve ever had!
We previously owned a Char-Broil Patio Grill TRU-Infrared grill and I’ll admit I was happy with how it performed for the years that we had it. When the Char-Broil failed after about 3.5 years of fairly heavy use, I debated replacing it or trying this Weber electric grill. I’m so glad we decided to try the Weber! It heats faster and has halved the time it takes us to grill our favorite foods like corn, turkey burgers, salmon, and the occasional steak. At first I missed the thermometer that was present on the Char-Broil grill, but it was never particularly accurate, so its absence here is a nonissue. The grill heats evenly from what I can tell and cleanup has been pretty straightforward. I am not a fan of having to buy propane or fuss with charcoal. This makes grilling an everyday treat. If you like a bit of a smoky flavor, I’ve had luck with using applewood and mesquite wood (spritz with water to moisten and create a foil wrap with openings to allow the smoke out without exposing the wood chips to the grill). I wish the grill stand was included and easier to assemble, but in my opinion, it’s worth buying too
