Carla is my all time favourite Corrie character so I couldn't wait to look back over her time on the cobbles. Great to remember all the good times and bad. Very well written!

This was a joy to read and well researched. I can't believe how much of Carla's life in the cobbles I'd completely forgotten. It was great being reminded about how she entered the show and about all her many romances and dramatic disasters.

This is the latest book by author Glenda Young who is a lifelong Coronation Street fan. She's written a number of Corrie-themed books and they have all be top notch. This is no exception. Ten years ago, the character Carla Connor entered Coronation Street and spent the first few years as one of the show's bitches, edgy and snarly. Over the years, we discovered other sides to Carla and she softened into a very likeable, very strong character who has endured more disasters than most. Carla has had a penchant for self destruction and that's what brought her down in the end as she leaves Weatherfield after 10 years on our screens. Glenda has captured Carla's 10 years in this wonderful little book, filled with Carla's designer style and snappy comebacks, and highlighting the major storylines, all of Carla's loves and tragedies, triumphs and defeats. Carla is a survivor and though her exit was that of defeat, we have no doubt she will rise to the top again. Thanks to Glenda for giving us Carla in a nutshell. A great book for Corrie fans!
