I can't speak highly enough about the Lemon brand. As a seasoned drummer with many years of experience, I do have to say am I quite surprised by the quality of any of the Lemon products. Personally, I've always wanted and electronic cymbal that has a more realistic size to mimic playing on a real acoustic kit and these absolutely fit the bill. They have good weight and feel to them and I find that they play exceptionally well when dialed in to your module of choice (I use a Pearl Mimic Pro). They do exactly what they say the do and they are easy to set up on your kit. I have multiple crashes, the new 20" ride and china...All Lemon. Even my hi hats which I have found to superior to my previous Roland hats are Lemon and I love them! I would highly recommend to anyone needing great responding, realistic looking and feeling electric cymbals! Review: Almost as good as Roland Cymbals! - I bought four Lemon cymbals about a month ago. One 18' ride, two 15" crash/rides and a 9" splash. I did a lot of research and saw a lot of very good reviews. I can verify that these are just as good as my Roland CY -15R and CY-14 cymbals. The rubber is a bit harder, and they are a bit thicker. Because of this they are a bit louder than the Roland cymbals. The triggering on the Lemon cymbals is just as good as the Roland's. You can't beat these cymbals for the money. Time will tell how durable they are, but if they last even 5 years they will be well worth the money! Update I have had these cymbals for two months now and still believe they are a great value for the money. I recently bought a Roland TD-50X drum module with the digital hi hat, ride and snare. The digital ride is amazing and much better than the Lemon, but it cost nearly 4 times more. The only issue I have with the Lemon ride is the bell is small and it has a hot spot right in the center of the bell, straight down from the logo. I turned the ride a bit to the left to move the hot spot to the right and away from where I am hitting the bell. Basically, the Lemon logo sits left of center as I tend to hit the left side of the bell. If you hit the right side of the bell then reverse the logo to the right and that should help with the hot spot. I moved the 18" Lemon to the left side of my kit and use it as a two zone crash/ride. The Lemon cymbals are a bit hotter (more sensitive) than the Roland's so I have turned the sensitivity down in my module. Great cymbals for the money and they blend well with the Roland cymbals! ### ⭐⭐⭐⭐⭐ Better than expected but outputs are swapped. *by A***R on April 29, 2023* This Lemon Ride cymbal is an amazing upgrade from my 10” single zone Alesis Nitro cymbal. The rubber feels nice, much softer than my other cymbal pads. After connecting the cables I realized the output 1 & 2 were swapped, meaning the edge/bow output was triggering the bell and vice versa. I switched the cables around, which is a temporary fix for now, but eventually I’ll open it up and change over the connector as a permanent solution. Playability is awesome! Although the cymbal is directional with a logo on one side which is meant to be β€œaway” from the drummer. However, the ride and bow triggers are 360 degrees so I’m able to get either sound from any side of the cymbal. The edge is only triggered on the β€œfront/close” to the drummer side of the cymbal. I’m using the cymbal on an Alesis DM10 MKii Pro module connected to a Scarlett 2i2 audio interface running into Reaper and GarageBand, both using AddictiveDrummer 2 and Steven Slate 5.5 VST’s. With both options I get all 3 zones, choke, AND full sensitivity/acceleration range. Based off my experience with this Ride, I plan on ordering Lemon crashes next! **These dual-jack cymbals will work with Roland and Alesis modules that support dual-jack rides.
