Great purchase
I wore these gloves for a winter hike and they were excellent. Kept my hands really warm in the icy conditions and were really nice and soft. They were slightly large for my hands but was still comfortable. My only problem was that my hands would get too hot and I’d have to remove the gloves and immediately get cold because of the temperature! I think these gloves were way better than big brands and value for my money.

Really Good Gloves
I bought these gloves as I am out most nights watching my daughter play rugby and my hands are always cold, I've tried cheaper gloves but have found they don't keep my hands warm at all so i thought i would invest in a more expensive pair. These gloves are fantastic! i have used them over the last couple of weeks and my hands are kept warm and dry. They are a great size with plenty of padding and while I've not worn them in really heavy rain, i have worn them in showers and they have kept my hands dry. I would definitely recommend them.

Great
Warmest cycling gloves I have used. Far warmer than £100 pairs of cycling gloves. Excellent so far after 4 rides. No idea of longevity but excellent warmth down to -3 and 15mph wind whilst riding my road bike.

Excellent fit and feel, i will test the waterproofing and durability when the snow comes and update the review.

Great quality just too small
Great for the price, just had to swap the size to a medium. I have long fingers so although the palm measurement was <21cm as described I needed M for the length.

Not waterproof
I wore these today on a hike in extreme cold conditions and they didn’t let the wind through at all. My hands were very toasty. Sleet and snow took its toll and at the end I hate to say it but it got through so definitely not waterproof unfortunately. 🙁

Kept my hands warm and dry however. The tightening strap broke the first day I used them.

There is no change / varyation in temperature warmth when moving your hands briskly as in shoveling snow in cold temperatures compared to any other glove or mitten types which are not cheap. These mittens arrived just in time. I had two other pairs ready to go to finish the job. The best part is the quality, the insides donot come out part way with your hand and no sweat. Best buy for the BUCK!!

First, I want to say that I did not receive a free pair of these cold weather mittens, nor did I receive any kind of compensation for this review. I was simply buying a pair for use in my winter motorcycle riding and was looking for a pair of mittens for below freezing weather that would give my hands the protection I need at a reasonable price. How surprised I was to find features that I did not notice until I received the mittens. Not only that, I was informed by Amazon that the mittens that I ordered on late Thursday, December the 13th that they would arrive on Sunday, December the 16th. They actually arrived a day earlier on Saturday, December the 15th. Way to go Amazon Prime! Love it! I am surprised that these mittens are not advertised for motorcycle use as they seem to be so well suited to cold weather riding. So, on to the features I like about these affordable mittens especially as how they apply to winter motorcycle riding: Please note that the fourth Amazon picture shows a young man using his cell phone (texting?) with the mitts dangling from his wrists. I see this as a real boon to the motorcycle rider. I can’t tell you how many times I have had to slip a glove under my thigh in order to secure it after removal. I never lost a glove doing this, but it would be very easy to do so. This is especially important with mittens since removing one quickly to access a small button or control is even more likely than with gloves. Having this elastic strap around one’s wrist would assure that the mitt is not lost when it need to be removed for access. What a simple, but ultimately useful touch. Congratulations Tough Outdoors for such an insightful design feature. The next thing I really like is the handy cuff drawstring. It is designed to be easily secured around the riding jacket or coat sleeve by simply pulling on the string with the other hand due to a unique arrangement shown in picture six. Observe the arrangement on the right side of the mitts in the picture. You will see that the drawstring retaining button is secured to the mitt with a strong nylon loop sewn into the mitt. This arrangement allows the string to be pulled tight easily with the opposite hand. Neat! Be aware that these mitts do run small as mentioned in other reviews. I normally order XL gloves or mittens. I do have large hands, but not excessively large. If my hands were any larger, these mitts would not fit. As it is, these mitts fit snugly, but not so much so that they are uncomfortable or would lose insulating effectiveness. My hand measures 9.5” according to the chart illustration (picture #7) for taking a measurement. According to the chart, the XL size covers a hand size of 8.9 to 9.3 inches. I would say that this is quite accurate. So, if you have a hand larger than 9.5”, I would recommend looking for a larger mitten. I have not had the opportunity to ride using the mittens in below freezing temps yet. Neither have I had the occasion to ride in wet conditions. So I cannot comment on their effectiveness in such conditions. But I’m sure I will be able to observe their performance under those conditions before long and will add to this review when I do. The construction of these mittens appears to be very good and I do not anticipate any problems. I will let you know. Having just received them, I am initially very impressed and I hope not to be disappointed. I don't think I will be.

My husband’s hands suffer in the cold and he tends to go out for an early morning walk so he loves these mittens very warm
