Wray and Nephew Rum 70 cl, 63% vol - White Overproof Jamaica Rum

Brought when price discounted so value for money. Taste as expected. Happy with purchase

First time I had tried this beverage. Heard so much about it being 63% but surprisingly with coke and ice its very palatable. Different taste from Black Bat Bacardi but certainly not unpleasent. Give it a try if u dont like it. I'm sure someone you know will. I drink this with a 25cl measure, small is good !!!

Nose: Rich and pungent with bold funk—a mix of overripe banana, pineapple, citrus zest, grassy ester notes, and a hint of molasses. Palate: Starts dry, grassy, and slightly bitter, with layers of tropical fruit (banana, coconut, pineapple), molasses, then vanilla and spice. Finish: Long, fiery, and dry, fading into lingering fruit and a gentle burn

The best strongest white rum on the market. Strong enough to maintain its flavour when mixed

In my opinion it's an absolute top shelf liquor and it's absolutely delicious with a serious kick

Not really a white rum man in the slightest, so take this as the word of an "outsider" as this was purchased as a gift. Whoa! This really does have a kick to it. Yes, I know it's north of 60% but even then it takes a lot of diluting to the point where it doesn't pop your eyes. I can drink Southern Comfort 100% Proof (50% volume) neat, but this is borderline dangerous and the restricter in the bottle neck probably is a safety feature to stop people from taking a big swig straight from the bottle. The nose is typical white rum petrochemical, as is the first taste, but this is swiftly followed by rubber, with a finish of smokey bananas and it certainly offers more complexity than other rums I've tried. I wouldn't place it up against a good whisky in the complex flavours stakes but it's quite different to the cheap lighter fluid and that's yer lot of Bacardi. Would I recommend it? Well certainly I wouldn't buy it for myself, but if you think Bacardi makes for a good mixer then I'd definitely say give this one a try as it's a much more interesting drop and it's not priced too highly for what is a slightly more niche product. Just exercise caution if you're not used to VERY strong alcohol.

Drink was great, I've never brought alcohol off Amazon so was a little worried but as a stay n nephew drinker this was absolutely perfect

Pour les connaisseurs, très bon rapport qualité prix, arômes complexes et riches, mon rhum blanc traditionnel favori. Juste légendaire.

Ziemlich mild und somit perfekt für Mischgetränke, wie zb ein karibischer Rumpunsch. Gutes muss nicht teuer sein.
