just like a typical Adidas running shoe in my size
I had been looking for a hiking shoe for a bit, and when I saw this shoe for 50+% off I figured it was worth it to try Adidas instead of Keen, Merrell, etc. As is typical for Amazon my package arrived in a timely manner and this past weekend I gave them a bit of a test on a short hike along a rocky coast trail in SoCal. The Swifts fit perfectly, just like a typical Adidas running shoe in my size. The sole provides some feel, but is stiff enough you don't notice every pebble or root and the traction was great! The lacing system is something new to me outside of snowboarding boots, but for the first go-around it worked just time. I gather that at this time this model is discontinued or at least being updated, but if you can score a pair in your size for a discounted price I'd recommend it! I'll update if I have any other critiques or changes in quality as the shoes get more miles on them.

Excellent quality, extremely comfortable, great traction
Excellent shoe, the most comfortable shoe I have ever owned. I have bought all major brands and types of shoes costing as much as $250. These by far are the most comfortable shoe I have ever owned. Fantastic traction, great arch support, materials are great quality as well. I wear these as a daily shoe, they last me a year and a half or better. I used to ba able to wear most expensive shoes comfortably, in 2014 I was in a serious automobile accident which left me requiring multiple surgeries and with permanent disabilities, lower back, upper back, neck and head. My previous shoes were no longer comfortable enough to allow me to get around much without pain levels spiking too the point I would have to get off my feet and rest. I went on the search for a more comfortable shoe following a doctors and physical therapist recommendation. I found these, wow what a difference, again amazingly comfortable and great traction to help me keep my footing when walking.

TL;DR: Great looking shoe. Lacing system takes some getting used to. Narrower shoe; not recommended for the wide-footed.
A cool looking shoe. I've been desperate to find a good hiking shoe thats waterproof (very specifically, GoreTex). The quick lace is a bit finicky; you really have to be intentional about how tight a particular area is.I ended up keeping a pair of these, but as many others have mentioned, they run narrow. I'd say my feet are on the wider side of average and they felt a tad narrow. The sizing measurement is perfect, but I knew this would be the case as I've worn Adidas Terrex shoes before (those happened to be wider than these). I dont know what happened in the design process of these shoes, but I would have made them a touch wider. For the ~$115 that they're selling for at the time of this review, I didnt think it was worth it, but I managed to find them for ~$65 and decided to keep those. For the overall quality and value that I purchased them for, I can manage the narrow-ness of the shoe.TL;DR: Great looking shoe. Lacing system takes some getting used to. Narrower shoe; not recommended for the wide-footed.

They are very comfortable, in spite of me being concerned that they ...
I bought these for disc golf - my usual cheapies that I have been buying from Walmart had worn out, and I'm getting tired of having to buy new shoes at the beginning of each season. I paid too much for these (they run a 50% off special every year toward the end of winter, apparently, at the Adidas Outdoor shop online), but no regrets there. These shows are worth it.They are very comfortable, in spite of me being concerned that they would be too narrow. They fit great, and have kept my feet dry on some very damp mornings. They're holding up great, in spite of the fact that I've broken my own rule about wearing the disc golf shoes ONLY to golf. I wear these just about every day, and they are holding up really well. These are the first Terrex shoes I've owned, but they definitely won't be the last. Get a pair, and you'l be convinced too.

Painful to wear
The shoe is not comfortable. Hopefully it will break in. The main problem is the lacing creates sharp pressure points on the top of the foot (at least my foot). It irritates the tendons and nerves in my foot and leaves them with sore spots. I tried switching out the kevlar lacing for normal laces, but the problem persists. I think it is more the design and the lack of padding in the everything except the sole.Otherwise, the shoes are a bit wider than expected. The waterproofing works great though.

Perhaps I ordered Women's Shoes---Size could be off.
I'm giving a good review BUT I have to return these because of the size. I am a swim team coach and I need sneakers that are waterproof and indestructible. Though I didn't wear them for more than a minute, I liked the construction. The fit was questionable. I read that these shoes could possibly be women shoes. Thought I could have re-ordered another size, I returned them. These shoes were really for slender feet! ...and thought I think I have slender feet, they are far too narrow for me!Perhaps this is an issue with the whether these shoes are men's or women's shoes. Better clarification on Amazon's part would help with this possible mistake. Needless to say, Amazon is awesome and the return was easy-peasy.

Not Durable Enough For ANY Activity
I like the style. I’m still breaking them in, so there is some pinching around the back of the toe box. I use these primarily for disc golf because I’d always end up with wet feet if I wore regular sneakers. They don’t breathe well, but a little sweat sure beats slopping around all day. I’ll update after a few months.Update (Two Weeks): The material that fills the cuff, upper portion that rests against the back of your Achilles, is starting to bunch up. Kind of annoying to feel that ball of material when you're walking around.Update (Two Months): I really wanted to love these shoes, but unfortunately, I can't endorse this product. These shoes are already falling apart after two months with only light activity. First the speed lace came undone, which was easily fixed. Then one of the orange rubber cleats came off, snowballing into that whole area wearing down. I've only been using these for disc golf and light activity to break them in for some casual hiking, but never got that far... These shoes are just not durable enough for any kind of activity.
