I have used Lonely Planet Guide books for decades. I like the format and how it covers countries. Great guide for the budget traveler.

Very detailed

Lonely Planet travel guides always include useful information on what to see and when to see it, sleeping accommodations and history. The Central Asia book met all the criteria.

Excellent book for these countries

Some of the information is outdated, and at present tourists are not even being allowed into Turkmenistan, but there really aren't a lot of viable alternatives. At least the information will give the traveler a good idea of what's there, even if a lot of the details are old.

As informações são boas, mas o livro é muito pobre em imagens. Comprei-o pensando que tivesse várias fotografias, mas as únicas existentes são as das páginas iniciais. Fiquei completamente decepcionado com a compra.

Good one

Not the best guide. Sometimes missing a little bit of history and prices not uploaded at all. Although, really usefull while you are travelling!
