Great soccer referee commo system
just wanted to follow up. I had one of the V6 units stop working. I asked for help and was given an address (very long address) to mail the unit back. I was not sure I was going to get a replacement but today my new unit arrived fully working and ready for the spring season. It took about 2 months for the new unit to arrive but they came through. Lets see if I can make it through the spring season! I have increased the rating to 5 starts for now. I have used the system in 10 games over the past several weeks. I only had to fully sync one time. However, be sure to give time during your pre-game to test that everyone can hear each other. I have found that if you do lose a member of the team, if they just press the motorcycle button they return. I have done a 3 game set (over 6 hours) without any issues. Communication is clear and extremely helpful as I can watch the play and not look for a flag or subs. It really eliminates any confusion and the ability to pass information to coaches. It is also helpful to communicate with some of the new referees. I can easily say, "you need to move to the second to last defender" or just check on how they are doing. It would have been a 5-star if one of the ear holders did not break. The cord is very long. I taped over half of it up.

Second set worked fine
I had an issue with the first set of comm's that I received. I could not pair them or hear anything. I was pretty sure, it was the headsets. My second set arrived and boom.... right away I was able to pair them and they worked great. Guess I had so much practice from the first set. Can't wait for my volleyball match tonight.

For ABOUT TWO NIGHTS MATCH FEES! Terrific value on a very solid product
I have used these while refereeing 6 soccer games, of varying degrees of competitiveness. They add incredibly useful communication and enhance teamwork among the referees. My first trial run was refereeing a 12U academy girls game with younger ARs, one a first year official. I've used them with fairly experienced officials on High School games as well. Everyone so far likes working with them. From coaching newer officials to giving information in competitive situations, they enhance the experience. Pairing is a headache. In my experience, I have to pair them once a day, I printed out the information from the Amazon product page, and have learned the process, but I haven't learned the trick of keeping them paired. The radio equipment and armband seem sturdy enough, the headset less so -- the wire is kind of thin. Overall durability is unknown as yet. You will want a roll of medical tape to keep with them to help the headset stay in place while you sprint. NO instructions included; no mention of a website on or in the packaging. Sound quality and mic sensitivity are very serviceable. It isn't hi-fi, but you can hear what's being said. And no, the whistle doesn't bother anybody. I would buy again, and have referred interested colleagues.

Work as described
Soccer referee here and I wanted to have a system in which I could communicate with everyone on the field. This product does exactly that. It is really light (lighter than some of the other products out there), good sound quality, not much interference but I did notice that if you're next to a high power line, it does affect it (just as an fyi). Now, be aware that the set up is a little cumbersome. To their defense, they acknowledge all the steps you have to take to sync the three pieces together. I still need to read the direction as you have to follow them exactly. Once they are sync, it works great and they stay sync for a while. If you have several games back to back, you may need to resync them again so do make a copy of those directions or take a picture with your phone. Lastly, these products are fairly delicate. I already had to send one set back because the mic cable just came off. So be sure you tell your other colleagues to be gentle with your material. It will take you a while to place those things on and off but once you use them, it is addicted, no more guessing, lots of information back and forth (sometimes too much lol), no more offside missed or guessing what your AR is thinking on that potential foul that happens in front of them. I don't regret the purchase, I just wish it would be easier to sync and that the product would be a little more stronger. I also would be hesitant to use it in rainy weather.

Very Pleased for the Price
For the price these work great. You should invest in some extra foam mic windscreens, and some ear bud covers. I did buy another single unit to allow four crew members to communicate. There were no instructions, but I found some to get me started. I created some more to share... Pairing instructions (one V4 to two V6): 1) Press and hold motorcycle button on V4 and V6-1 until both turn on 2) Hold motorcycle on V6-1 until V6 flashes red/blue. 3) Press and hold “A” on V4 until it flashes blue/red 4) Press motorcycle again on V6-1 – it will flash blue 5) When V4 flashes blue, press V6-1 motorcycle button again – both units will flash in sync 6) Turn off V4 and V6-1 7) Press and hold motorcycle on V4 and V6-2 until both turn on. 8) While holding motorcycle on V6-2, press and hold “B” on V4 until both flash blue and red 9) Press motorcycle on V6-2 10) When both flash blue, press motorcycle on V6-2 again 11) Turn on V6-1 – all three units will sync. Pairing Instructions (two V4 and two V6): 1) Press and hold motorcycle button on first V4 and V6 until both turn on (referenced as V4-1 and V6-1). 2) Hold motorcycle on V6-1 until V6-1 flashes red/blue. 3) Press and hold “A” on V4-1 until it flashes blue/red 4) Press motorcycle again on V6-1 – it will flash blue 5) When V4 flashes blue, press V6-1 motorcycle button again – both units will flash in sync 6) Turn off V4 and V6 units. 7) Repeat steps 1-6 for second V4-2 and V6-2 units. 8) Turn on and V4-1 and V4-2 units. 9) Press and hold "B" button on both units until each flashes blue and red. 10) Press "B" again on only the V4-1 unit. The LED flashes blue. 11) Once the other V4-2 unit's LED flashes blue, Press "B" one last time. 12) When the two V4 units' LED lights flash in synchronization (or close), the units are paired. 13) Turn off all units. 14) Turn each unit on, one at a time, allowing about 10-15 seconds to reestablish links with the other units.

They will NOT pair
I bought a set 5+ years ago and everything worked fine until the battery no longer held charge. So I thought I would buy the same system since my initial experience was good. So far I have ordered two systems and was unable to pair them. I see most recent reviews also indicate that they could pair two but not three. I had similar experience. The user documentation is not well written. The youtube videos are better but still not able to pair them. Doing a reset and pairing again and same issue with being able to pair the initial two or the last two, but not all three. The sound quality of the the ones that are paired also is not good at all compared to my old system.
