Really great with one glaring flaw....
These are really great knee pads. But there's one pretty glaring flaw that really irks me every time I use them.I wear shorts at work and I wear the knee pads against the skin; they are very comfortable and not bothersome at all, by the way, when wearing the knee pads this way. Nice and soft interiors and the straps don't irritate my legs in the least. They are super cush and comfy and make all day "on your knees" work totally more manageable. They also seem to be quite well made and durable and I don't foresee them "breaking" or otherwise becoming ruined, any time soon. The problem I have, though is that when I work, I sweat a LOT. And for whatever reason, the top strap (the elastic one) constantly loosens and therefore I have to reach down and re tighten this strap. I mean, it loosens up QUICK. And so I, quite literally have to reach down and tighten the top, elastic strap, at least every 4 or 5 minutes.I can manage this problem but it is indeed a bit vexing.I'm not sure how this could be remedied ... maybe they could use some sort of "toothed" latch that the elastic strap passes through? I'm not sure ...But I do know, despite the obvious quality of the knee pads, there is plenty room for improvement in regards to this strap loosening issue. That said?I will continue to buy them, though because they are perhaps the most comfortable and durable knee pad I've used ...

Best Knee Pad I've Tried
Fantastic pads. I highly recommend. I spend a lot of time on my knees working on hard floor surfaces. The pads provided by my work are the foam based pads and fail frequently. Last pair that work gave me went flat after about 3 weeks of heavy duty use and left my knees sore, so I decided to find a better pair on my own. The ProFlex 347 was the best I've ever used. I just now bought a second pair. Got my first pair in January. They lasted until June. Six months of 40/hr week use. They offered more cushioning than all other pad I've tried. They do suffer from all the same problems as all other strap on knee pads. They are either too tight and restrict circulation, or, they are too loose and slip below the knees. The straps are velcro and easy to adjust, and like all the pads I've tried I constantly had to adjust the pads and the straps. After the third week of use, one pad felt like it had gone flat. I cut the fabric backing and saw that the gel pad inside had partially dislodged and slipped down. I had to remove it and re-glue it in place. Same thing happened to the other pad after the sixth week. Despite this, both worked great after re-gluing the gel pads into place. After six months of use, the plastic molding that frames the front of the pads began to split. This caused the pads to 'give' a little bit more when I placed my weight on them, resulting in less effective protection. At this point, they clearly needed to be replaced.I put my knee pads thru very heavy duty use. I only expected these to last about 3 months. They exceeded my expectations. The only significant problem was the gel pads dislodging and having to be re-glued. They are great for work environments. Would not recommend these for gardening type use because the front has a tread like surface. So glad I found these!

You can buy cheaper kneepads, but you can't buy better ones at any price
There are lots of knee pads on the market, but none offer the comfort of these. These were purchased for my son who works on cars and they are often still dripping with rain or snow when brought into the bays, by the time he's ready to work on them the floor around the car is soaking wet, these knee pads raise his knees and shins up and out of the soup and the liner/padding stay dry. The soft rubber "sole" sticks to the floor, dry or wet.My son says he can spend hours on his knees without any pain or discomfort. No fighting to keep balanced like with the round cap-like covers. The long cap means more surface area to distribute weight so no pressure points. Since his knees and the tops of his shins are elevated that means he doesn't need to hyperextend his foot as much; this helps with balance and comfort. While they are large, they are not very heavy and the velcro straps can be adjusted so they can be comfortably worn between jobs.I have had a set since the summer for my job and use them for crawling around and under machinery and in my garage. I can attest that they are ergonomically balanced and make working on my knees as pleasant as possible. Although I spend about about as much time on my knees in a month than my son does as in a day so I let him be the final arbiter and he would not trade them for anything else on the market and he has tried many cheaper and some more expensive. In my job I often try many different types of PPE before purchasing it for the company and Ergodyne/ProFlex is one of the top companies out there for quality, and more importantly, comfort, and the 347 long cap gel knee pad is no exception.

Great knee protection
I bought these after my husband injured the Bursa bag in his left knee. The DR. highly recommended knee pads, as my husband is a mechanic and kneels and squats and stands on concrete for at least 12 hrs a day.For protecting the knee, they are a 5 star. The gel padding and the sturdy outer plastic cover are superior to any knee pads we own. His DR. actually recommended this particular pair, and my husband feels no pain at all when kneeling. They completely redistribute the weight of his body, and put no pressure at all on the knee. For comfort, they are a 4 star. As with all knee pads we've ever used, these do slide down the leg somewhat. They have two straps, and don't dig into the leg at the back of the knee at all, which is a plus. But after crawling around under a car, he has to readjust the straps and pull them back up his leg.We do still recommend them, because of the superior knee protection they provide.

Excellent Product
I suffer with RA in my knees and I have found this product to be a god send, enabling me to complete work on the house that would otherwise have crippled me. Very comfortable with easy to use and effective Velcro straps keeping the pads firmly in place. I have worn them all day with no problems and would thoroughly recommend them.
