I have a couple of scales but this one is the perfect shape for most applications, no just for barista purposes.It has a nice one digit display, not excessive amounts of digits.Its responsive and the backlit display is clear and easy to read.The quality of the scale feels like its made of premium materials. It comes with a rubber mat to protect the metal scale top too. Great for when you want to bake and place bowls atop.This scale has a max weight of 2kg which is more than plenty for kitchen and even more than plenty for barista use.Great scale and pleased to be using it in my kitchen.

I really like this set of scales.It comes with a plastic case/cover that can be used as a weighing container, and also a silicone non-slip mat that can be used on top.The scales have 6 modes of operation:1) Manual - manual tare, manual start/stop timer.2) Auto-tare/Auto-timer: When you place the cup on the scale, it auto-tares and starts timer. Removal shows final weight and time.3) Auto-tare/Manual timer: Tares when cup is placed - hit timer button to start timer.4) Auto-tare only - just displays weight5) Auto-tare/Auto-timer: As 2 but timer starts when liquid hits the cup6) Manual-tare/Auto-timer: For pour-over brewing - tare the scale manually after adding grounds. Timer starts when water is added.For non-automatic coffee makers, this is a must to prepare perfect coffee. Some experimentation is required to find the method that suits you best - tare or time.The scales appear accurate as far as I can determine - they accurately weighed all of my test weights.
