Milk Thistle for Dogs and Cats (120 grams), Liver Support for dogs, supplement without capsules, pills

My dog has liver disease and since using this he's been 80 % better in terms of symptoms

Our cat had been suffering from horrible yellowish runny poo for months, and I'd tried everything - probiotics, prebiotics, pumpkin, hypoallergenic food, poached chicken - everything you can think of. The vet didn't seem too interested and said it was probably due to stress (a few cats live next door). In case it's useful to anyone, I now think the issue was due to Loxicom he was taking for arthritis which can cause liver issues. We'd weaned him off that a year ago as we didn't want to risk new health problems and found another supplement that worked. (Flex a Joint - I would warn anyone off anything other than short-term use of Loxicom or similar anti inflammatories, they really can have bad effects according to all the amateur research I've been doing. And in my cat's case it was no more effective than the supplement we chose to replace it - I'm sure other ones would do a good job as well). But the digestive issues went on and on - we often had to catch him and wipe his back end when he came in from the garden - not at all pleasant for him or for us! We desperately wanted to fix the issue, so I tried this and was honestly stunned at the difference. His bowel movements started to firm up within 2 days, and within a week they were completely back to what a cat's should be (and I could hardly remember the last time that was the case, we had been battling that issue for so long). He is much happier, and of course we are too. His coat looks better and he also seems to have more energy, I assume because he is better able to absorb the nutrients from his food and supplements now. I give him 1/4 teaspoon in each meal (he has 2 meals a day) and will continue to do that indefinitely. So if you are struggling with similar issues, please please give it a try - I have never come across a product that I can claim works like magic, but this one actually does, I was amazed. And relieved!

I'm not giving 5 * yet until my vet has taken bloods in July on her annual check up. It was suggested by my vet to get her milk thistle (no products were recommended). Her liver levels were slightly off and as I prefer to try herbal remedies first if possible this was a route to take. I mix it with some wet food in with her dry food. It like a liver/gravy type smell and she's not turned her nose up at it. I will report back in July 2023 if its helped at all. I will change my star rating if successful.

Perfect just what I wanted

My Boston terrier was not acting herself! She became excessively thirsty, and urinating ALOT , almost no appetite , wouldn’t get up to go out without making her, she just slept. Took her vet, $600 later she had SERIOUSLY ELEVATED LIVER ENZYMES, over 2300 instead of between 240- 400 !! Everything else normal, did test for Cushing disease, it was borderline! So I got this since a friend’s neighbors dog with similar issues uses milk thistle Daily and it helped bring liver enzymes back down. After about 4-7 days My dog was back to her normal self!!!!! I could not believe it. I will post her enzymes once they are retested. She is 29lbs and I sprinkle 3/4 of a teaspoon on her food every day and she eats it no problem!! I then mix it with her usual 1 tsp of Chicken & apples Gerber baby food and she eats it all! So I am assuming that the flavor of this liver detox is ok! I sure hope this helps someone else! I was going to have to pay another several hundred to get a Ultrasound and maybe still not have any answer. It’s great to see my 10/11 yr old baby back to her normal self, just old!

This product is AMAZING! My dog is on phenobarbital to control her seizures so we have to regularly monitor her liver functions. When she was tested in November 2016, her ALT was at 89 (normal range is 12-118 IU/L). So she was still within the normal range but her numbers were climbing. I started her on this product in July 2017 and we retested her in December 2017 - her ALT is down to 42! I have no other explanation for this remarkable outcome and can only attribute it to this product (she had been on a different product before and I didn't see a decrease). I read the label again more carefully and, in addition to live support, this product is supposed to help with arthritis and other things. As I look back, my dog (who does have some arthritis) has also been exceptionally playful and active the last few months. Don't know whether I can also attribute that to this product but I can say that I have actual numbers to show this helped with live support.

Positive response from my 15 year old Scottish Terrier. She has had elevated liver enyemes for 1.5 years. Since taking this medication, she has not had any nausea (smacking of lips). As long as it is stirred in with her other food she easily eats her meals. The only reason I did not give it 5 stars was I was unable to confirm by the vet at this time if her liver enzeymes decreased and it is a bit inconvient that you have to measure out the product.

I have been giving this product to my 7.5 lb chihuahua for about a week now, and so far he is doing great with it. I bought it after one of his liver enzymes came back a little high, and I did not want to give him the $30 supplement at the vet's office (in which milk thistle is the main ingredient and the same mg amount per serving as this product). I like that this is 100% milk thistle, nothing more. It is in powder form which makes it much easier to mix up with his food, and so far he has not hesitated or acted resistant to it at all. Seems to be a great quality product for the price.
