Great build quality, the paper is a nice thickness and a joy to write on. The cover is sturdy and survives being thrown around in bags and cases. Great for musicians who want to make notes on the go or in a classroom, the blank page next to the manuscript is nice for musical analysis or notating concepts. The included music ruler is also a really nice addition!

A well considered, portable and built-to-last music notebook. I am learning music theory from scratch and the format of the pages (blank writing space on left with manuscript on right) allows me to write and then demonstrate in notation as I progress. There are also a few other features that add to its charm; an included card music ruler/bookmark, a strap to keep the book (and any loose sheets of paper) safe, and a spine that allows the book to stay open at any page without applying pressure. On top of that it is a simple yet smart design....I dare say I shall be investing in a few more of these in the not too distant future!

I'm using this to study for a Music Theory exam. I needed something with staves on one side of the page and plain or lined paper on the other. Turns out this is a very specific set of requirements! The only other book I could find like this was the Leuchtturm A4+ Master Slim Notebook with Staves but it was too large. This Moleskine is nearer A5 size and therefore very similar to the Music Theory text book which makes a nice little package for me to carry around. The paper feels nice to write on with pencil, I don't find that the pencil transfers when I write on the back of the page and the expanding pocket at the back is handy for my few flash cards. I perceive this book to be a luxury item so I'm careful how I write things down which pays dividends when revising because I don't have to try and decipher my scrawled notes! And the fact that it's a bound book means I don't need to worry about losing a vital page of work or putting things in a ring binder in the wrong order. The book feels solid, like it's going to stand up to the rigors of study and when the exam is over I'll have it to refer back to. I would have liked the option of a different colour cover but seeing as Molekine are one of only two companies producing a combined music stave/note paper notebook I'm prepared to make do with boring black. Decorating the covers will give me something to do while I'm procrastinating over my study!

An extremly useful tool in any musicians rehersal kit. I have found it invaluable to record any alterations to a piece of music,rather than make notes in the margin of my manuscript.

I've been using these for years. Great, as always! The paper is thick. I've noticed that paper quality isn't as good in some other Moleskine journals I recently purchased, so I hope that it doesn't change for the music notebook.

A lovely music note book, which I intend to use for music theory initially. Personally I would have preferred slightly less stave lines and a little bigger, maybe nine instead of eleven. but that is just personal choice.

El mejor cuaderno de música. El papel es muy bueno y es un placer escribir canciones en él. Admite toda clase de instrumentos de escritura. Las tapas duras y el formato (21×13 cm) permiten llevarlo a todas partes sin que se dañe. El reverso de cada página es en blanco y puedes dibujar pentagramas adicionales con la regla de cartón satinado que incluye. También tiene cinta marca páginas de color beige dorado. Compra muy acertada.

Questa è molto pratica per chi compone musica, ha una pagina bianca alternata a una pagina pentagrammata. Forse esiste anche una versione tutta pentagrammata, ma a me interessa avere spazio anche per altri appunti e immagini. In negozio costano molto di più, infatti molto spesso viene voglia di affidarsi a imitazioni più economiche e apparentemente identiche. Dico apparentemente però, perché quando si prende in mano una Moleskine non c'è storia per nessun altro. La qualità e lo spessore della carta, la precisione della rilegatura e la sensazione tattile è nettamente superiore a tutti gli altri prodotti simili più comuni in commercio. Una Moleskine non si butta mai via, nemmeno quando è piena. Servizio Amazon eccellente.
