Hotec 3.5mm Male to 1/4” TS Female Audio Adapter Cable (TS to TRS and TS to TRRS, 2 Piece Pack)

I actually ordered the wrong one as I needed 3.5mm to 3.5mm TS to TRS/TRRS. Rather than deal with the hassle of a return I went to a local electronics store and got an eighth inch to quarter inch mono to mono converter plug for 77 cents problem solved. The cable is fine, I misread the ad my fault but got a solution quickly and am on my way.

It allows me the flexibility to use Hotec wireless receivers on my camera in a logical way.

While the TS to TRRS had a 50/50 chance of being CTIA or OMTP, I was surprised that the TS to TRS didn't work. Taking them to the multi meter, I found that it seems the 1/4 inch side of both adapters is pulling it's ground signal from where the R is on a TRS jack, not using the safer position where it would leave a gap and pull at the S position. This means a TS jack, with ground connected next to mic, works, but a TRS jack tries to pull it's ground from where right channel is coming through.

I tried them and they work like they should
