Direct Replacement, Easy to install
I have owned my camper for five years and did not know that the unit had an end of life cycle (five Years). At three o clock in the morning while camping with my grandson, the alarm went off scaring us to death, as this is a propane detector. after turning the propane off at the tanks we tried to figure out how to turn the blaring alarm off. Ended up cutting one of the wires. In the morning, looking through the stacks of paperwork that came with the camper, I found a small brochure about the unit.and that is when I found out about the end of life cycle. I did leave the propane turned off untill I replaced the unit.Ordered the unit from Amazon, connected the red and black wires and plugged into my existing wall mount. then tested it with a propane torch that I own. Worked perfectly.

Good replacement.
Five minute install. Make sure you read the instructions, I didn't. After connecting, I started getting a red and green light flashing about ever 30 seconds, which indicated a malfunctioning unit. I Called manufacture and they indicated they had gotten a lot of call about the same problem. Indicated I should send back for a replacement. So I started the return process. Oh, well. Then I started reading the instructions. My Outback Travel Trailler was not plugged into a 120 volt outlet at the time and the battery in my RV was low. A low battery in your RV will case this problem. I Cancelled the return and replace order Amazon. Unit works a described. (Read the instruction S T U P I D)

Great replacement gas monitor
This was easy to install, works as advertised and at a reasonable price too. Please if you’ve got an RV & your Gas monitor has gone bad, buy this and install it.It has two wires that are clearly marked and already stripped on the ends for installation. Your life could depend upon this small device so again please replace your bad one.Highly recommend this gas monitor for RV’s!

Perfect replacement unit.
Perfect replacement for original one. The manufacturing date (is on the back of unit) is very important. Although these are wired they do have a battery in them. There’s no replacing the battery, the whole unit needs to be replaced when the battery dies. Most brands including this one have a five year battery. Once you open, check the date to ensure that it was recently manufactured. If it isn’t recent, return it. Saw one at a local Camping World before buying this one. Had them open for me (used to be able to see the manufacturing date but the packaging has changed and you can’t see it. Guess what, it had been manufactured two years ago. So that meant two years of lost battery time. HINT: Do yourself a favor and put manufacturing date on side or top of unit (with permanent marker) where it can easily be seen when replacing your current unit. That way you’ll know when it is close to time to replace. Since the manufacturing date is on the back, you can’t see it without removing whole unit from wall. No wondering “when did we replace it”.
