Great item just perfect for two people

Handy for a single person small conveniently fits in a ardboard when not in use

Within 30 minutes of delivery I had it washed, dried, filled with oil and testing on a sample batch of home cut chips, as the oil was getting to temperature I checked the accuracy of the thermostat, the maximum indicated 190 C for chips was actually 150 C on my laser temp gun, however it was quite adequate for nicely frying the chips, actually putting them into a rolling boil, something I have never experienced before, with the thermostat regularly tripping on and off maintaining the temperature. This is a more economical use of oil and the smaller size will fit easily in a cupboard when finished with Must add that after using a previous make I now fry with the lid open, this avoids the basket and mesh filter getting clogged up with emulsified grease that is nigh on impossible to clean off, just make sure the steam is within range of a good extractor fan

i have given this item a 3 because i have only had it a week and the coating is peeling off already works fine and does the job

My husband has wanted one of these for ages to make homemade chips and he is really happy with it everything is perfect as far as he is concerned lovely size, easy to use cannot fault it and best of all homemade chips are amazing never is he going back to oven chips ever again
