Fun portable player. Heavy and that's a good thing.
I am an audio snob. Sound is important to me. This not a turntable to use as a hifi component. This is a good choice for someone looking for a stow away player, or a second player. The tone arm is slightly adjustable and comes in at about 5grams force. That will track well and not damage your vinyl. That being said, please dont play any one of a kind, or special records on it since, its not really made for archive listening. The internal speakers are adequate, using the output to external ampflication gives much better sound, headphones sound decent as well. I whip the player out and use its own speakers. Uses an audio technica stylus. I have not used the usb out. The look is very cool, and is finished extremely well. Auto shutoff works fine, there was a clicking sound from the platter when new. Just adjust the clip on the spindle and it went away. Love taking out some records anywhere in my house, and is super fun when company comes over!

Nice Portable Record Player
Beautiful cloth covered case containing a pretty nifty little turntable. Sound isn't amazing but that is to be expected from a portable turntable. To test the player I first played a good to very good copy of an original 1970 Who Live at Leeds and then an out of the plastic 2014 release of the Who's Tommy. Both sounded great with no skips on either. I have been eying this player since December and after seeing the many five star reviews finally decided to make the purchase. I have not been disappointed! I have not used the USB option yet to record albums so I can't comment but the software included is Audacity which I have used in the past with no problems. I would recommend this player to anyone looking to dust off their old vinyl for another listen or to the new vinyl enthusiast looking for a sturdy portable record player.

It's not ALL about the sound!!!
Although I LOVE the ability to play all of my music from the 60's, and the sound is great, this is the THIRD one I had to keep returning because it would stop before the 45 was finished and the adjustment didn't help. Even took it to a record store to look at and no help. Also, the pins from the front locks keep falling out. So frustrating. These should be simple fixes that no one cares about but me????

Fabulous and functional!
So glad I ended up choosing this turntable. Though it isn't the top seller I decided to go with it off intuition. Turns out I was right. And the biggest surprise of all was that the canvas is actually woven with gold so there is a slight golden shimmer/hue to it. When I took it out of the box my mouth dropped I couldn't have been happier with the aesthetic. Never been so pleased with a modern product like this. The sound quality is quite good, perfect for my small place, its everything I need. Have yet to plug in my phone (whats the point when you can listen to records). Will update review once I have tried the recording feature.

Complete Assessment of the Crosley Nomad Portable Turntable
This is the first portable I've purchased. After reviewing other models, I wanted to put my money here. It's really cute! It's really portable! The sound us a solid 8/10 for this kind of portability and technology for the money. The arm is not bad but it can hold a slightly warped record! It comes with a 45rpm adaptor so you don't have to buy one. The arm does NOT automatically retract, hence portability. The turntable stops when it gets to the end. Snow here is a negative. While the song is finishing and before the arm enters that "empty" track area towards the paper label, the song abruptly stops. So you don't exactly finish the song. I don't know if we can turn the arm not to do that and just go to the end. It doesn't bother me that much. The sound is better than I expected. There is a volume knob s it's pretty loud, of course not like a receiver power amp. Overall I give it a solid 4.6 stars. The packing is solid too. I'm pretty happy with this purchase. Good luck and keep reminiscing. UPDATE: I found an auto stop switch which allows you to play the record to the end. The auto stop is to stop the playing at the end of the song but it does stop before it finishes by 30 seconds too early.

terrible turntable
The style is very cool. I was fooled too. Do not buy this if you like your records. While the stylus is an audio technica (good quality for people getting into vinyl records), the tonearm is plastic along with the rest of the interior. Typical Crosley. I honestly wouldn't have minded though considering I didn't know much about records at the time of purchase, but the price-point is what did me in; with a price as high as this, you could buy a much nicer turntable like the Audio Technica lp60, which will only cost you about $80-$90... and it's fully automatic so you don't have to worry about scratching your records with your shakey hands. I switched over when I noticed that this Crosley's platter was crooked, and the tonearm was too! Don't let the cool vintage style suck you in; this product is absolute garbage for the price. Should be sold for $30 or less. For those of you who don't know, tonearms should be a composite metal (preferably) to reduce resonance within the sound. If a tonearm is plastic (this one is), then it will pick up vibrations from the sound being produced, and produce those vibrations in the output... making a sound with very low fidelity (low-fi). Why would anyone buy this product, when you can easily buy a very nice sounding turntable for much less? do your research. don't be like me, and have to spend almost $300 before you learn your lesson...

Der On/Off Schalter funktionierte genau umgekehrt. Der Plattenteller lief unrund (pendelte leicht nach oben und unten). Das Einzige, dass wirklich sehr gut verarbeitet war, war der Koffer. Habe das Gerät daher zurückgeschickt.
