People who are saying this makes their animals foam at the mouth are giving their pets way too much of this stuff. It works well, it’s quite minty, so you literally only need a few drops on either side of your pets mouth. I accidentally squirted too much on my pussy at first and he did exactly what the other reviews said, salivated and run around, as soon as I wiped his mouth he was fine. Seriously, don’t let them put you off, it’s done wonders for my cats breath (all five of them) and after a weeks daily usage I can see tartar reductions. It’s great stuff, don’t be a tard and make sure you read the instructions.

I bought this, as couldn’t get the gel at the time. Like others have said, my dog hates this. As soon as I go near my Yorkie with the bottle he tries to run. His teeth are still not great, and he still has bad breath. It has improved things a little bit though. I have used the gel in the past and find this much easier to apply than the foam. Will be going back to gel.

At last a product that seems to be improving my Cavalier’s dental hygiene significantly. We do use other stuff too, which no doubt make a contribution (Arm & Hammer water additive and dental chews), but I can’t find a reliable or effective way of brushing her tiny little Cavalier teeth in that adorable wee mouth. I can’t say she lights up with pleasure when she sees me approach with the spray, but she doesn’t slink off under the table either. Dental health is particularly important for Cavaliers because they are prone to heart disease but now I seem to be preventing build up of tartar fairly well. The irony is that our cat, who’s 14, and never had her teeth cleaned in her life, has fabulous teeth, which is just as well, as I value my blood rather highly- the annual visit to the vet for her checkup and immunisations is a two person job, requiring careful planning and a new strategy every time..

My cats don’t like it, but that doesn’t mean to say yours won’t because mine are very fussy. It’s not really easy to use. They don’t like things put in their mouth, I can’t tell you what flavour is because I’m not trying it, my cats don’t like it so I probably won’t. There’s not really any smell that I can pick up on.

I am using the gel every day on my 8 month old puppy and my 2 cats over 8 years old. It does work well and my animals have got used to it. They lick their mouth afterwards which is normal and it spreads the product around. I do it last thing at night for them so that it is part of their night time routine and works overnight so most effective. I highly recommend it and hope that you have found my tip useful? ☺ 🐱🐶

They smell fairly pleasant, and easy enough to use if your dog is okay with you brushing their teeth and handling their mouth, HOWEVER, my dog clearly did not like the smell of these as I brought it close to him, and although he tolerated me giving a little scrub as soon as I took the pad away and he licked his mouth he began gagging and retching multiple times. I will not be attempting to use them again as obviously whatever is in these was aversive to my dog and I felt terrible putting something in his mouth that caused him to have such a reaction!

Wanted to buy this for my cats who did not like the bristles of a toothbrush AT ALL. They’re a bit fussy at first but all is required is a drop of it and they will start licking which spreads it around. Has eliminated their stinky breath after dinners so I’m happy. We give them dental biscuits along with this to ensure proper care is being taken.

DON'T BE PUT OFF. It is very easy to use. I have a 6 year old Exotic shorthair cat that I rescued from a breeder. Sadly she has chronic gingivitis as a result of poor care in her early life. I use this in addition to her steroid injections to help her breath. It does not make my cat foam at the mouth. I can only guess that those cats that do foam may need some veterinary care

I’ve used this for a while now and love it for my dog. You don’t have to brush using this but if your dog has some build up, I’d use a soft brush to get that off and once it’s off you can just go back to using this without brushing. I’m back and forth between brushing or only applying this. Depends on the day. But good stuff.
