Great insulated small water heater
Works great for hot water in my heated pole barn. Quick heat and stays hot for a couple days being off. Good product and I hope it last for several years

Heats water up quickly and is quiet.
This was bought as a replacement in my vacation trailer. It’s compact and small and it heats up quickly. I made the right choice purchasing this one when I was undecided on another brand. I highly recommend it if you are looking for a similar item, it does not leak, was easy to install, is very quiet and it functions as described. For what I paid for it, it was a well investment.

Warning! Do-It-Yourself People
We have a crawl space under our house and I installed the Camplux in-line with our main water heater under our master bedroom bathroom. (It takes too long for hot water to reach our sinks and shower from the main water heater.) Now, it works great, providing hot water immediately and consistently to our sinks and shower. However, I gave this product a 4-star rating because of these two matters: 1. Nowhere is there any indication as to how long the electrical cord is. I wanted to be ready to install the water heater as soon as it arrived and installed an electrical receptacle where I planned to put the heater. When you look at other brands you see anywhere from a three-foot to six-foot cord. I assumed this one would be at least three-feet. Luckily, the two-foot cord just barely made it up to the receptacle. If I had known it was only two feet long, I probably would have waited until I had the heater installed before mounting the electrical receptacle on the floor joist above it. (Yes, the installation manual is clear enough for a Do-It-Yourself person to replace the two-foot cord with a longer cord. If I had to do it, it would have been a minor irritation.) It would have been nice if they had put something like this in the product description, Plug-In Style, Easy to Use. “Very easy to install, just plug the two-foot long cord into a 120v electric supply socket.” 2. WARNING! Do-It-Yourself people do not qualify for a warranty! The installation manual states “A qualified, licensed technician must always install the water heater and conduct all subsequent service work and or maintenance.” and later “The installation must be completed by a licensed professional.” Then in the warranty portion it states “Manufacturer shall not be liable under this warranty if: … f) The water heater is installed by non-qualified personnel.” They are saying to the Do-It-Yourself people “Don’t expect a warranty, we don’t trust you!” The water heater is not that hard to install and the people at Lowes, Home Depot, Ace Hardware, etc. are always very helpful in advising what kind of parts and tools a person needs to correctly install the heater to fit their situation.

dependable 3 year follow up
Well after five years this unit quit working. No power light. No heat Follow up after 4 1/2 years: Still works perfect. I have this in an outbuilding supplying two sinks. It is used through out the day, every day. Follow up after almost 3 years...... still working perfect . No maintenance needed. Application: I have a work shop. I use this unit for hand and dish washing. It is hooked up to a wash tub and bathroom sink. It has plenty of capacity to perform these functions. I am still very happy with this heater I have had for about 8 months. I replaces another unit (different brand) that only lasted about 12 months. So far so good. It was easy to install. Plumbing is all about getting right fittings so some persistence is always needed The other unit failed (again different brand) as water got inside the controls when I cleaned my shop sink. The water got in where the pipes existed the casing. This brand has superior seals in this area. It delivers near instant hot water. re-warms quickly It is a bit bulky but I purposely bought the larger unit for the tank size Totally happy after 8 nonths

Camplux 6 Gallon Electric Hot Water
I highly recommend! Holds 6 gallons, 120 volt corded water heater The factory hot water heater in my camper went out and I had it replaced it with this one. My son was able to install with no problems. It did require a electrical plug to be installed. It works great. Heats up in about 10 minutes and makes no noise. It's been in about a year now and I have had no leakage.

Not worth your time
I really was hoping to like this. Where should I start. As Julie Andrews says, Let's start at the very beginning, a very good place to start...... Looked good unboxing it. Noticed the "feet" on the bottom, the front ones seemed broken or too short or something, its wobbly. The cord to plug in is WAY too short. After plugging it in I did not see the indicator light come on. So looked up how to reset it. We'll, this is the ridiculous part. You have to take off all your hoses, empty the water out so you can tilt the heater over to get to bottom of the device and unscrew 6 screws and push the reset button. Well, that was convenient. Now let me put it all back together and place it all back where it was. Might have been smarter to have that button just on the outside of the heater, ya think?! Anyways, plug it back in. No light still. So I read manual again. Said light might not work, which would be odd for a new product. But ok. All the water is flowing and hopefully water heating up. Gave it a good hour. Testing time.............NOPE!! All I see is water dripping out the front by the indicator switch and the water is not hot at all. So that worked well.....ugh! Well that was a fun day. Can I go to bed now.

Heats quickly and low power usage
I have installed this in my new camper that i just built. I have the 2.5G version. I put it on max heat, it took about 15 minutes to heat the water. I took a full shower, it was scalding hot so I could mix it with half cold water and as such, there was plenty for a full shower, in fact I suspect there would have been enough for another shower. So power usage is about 400W to get 65F water to 130F. Very little indeed. Very happy so far.

I found the ME60 camplux hot water tank very easy to install and it is supplying hot water to a shower, bathroom sink and kitchen sink in my camp. Furthest distance from water tank approx 20' and it supplies good hot water to all faucets. very happy with this product.

For a device with only a couple of simple connections you would think they could get them right. First day, attached a standard NPT hose with rubber o-ring that had no leaking with anything else attached and pressurized (tested with a cap, inline shutoff valve and watering wand and trigger sprayer). The plastic tank connector sprayed water everywhere as soon as the line was pressurized no matter how many o-rings, rubber gasket seals, Teflon tape or straight connection attempts were tried. Brought in a plumber who took one look at the unit and told us it would never be watertight based on its poor design and low quality plastic materials used. Returned that same day with the additional expense of a professional opinion on why this particular item should be avoided.

I bought this for our camper however it was too high for what we wanted it for, but it was really nice and I had no issues returning it. Thank you Amazon
