You can if you want, but I would just make a folder for each. It probably depends on your preference or the number of files/storage size of pictures on each phone.

I have close to 20,000 pictures...would this drive be big enough?

I disagree. I bought one and it said I had 24,274 photos. It only backed up a little over 12,000 and then indicated disk was full and to put another one.
