The Catholic Kids' Cookbook: Holy Days and Heavenly Food Hardcover – October 28, 2024

I bought this for a dear friend who has four children, and she said that they all love cooking the yummy recipes in here. Challenging a little, not too much for little cooks. I might have to buy one for me--and I'm a grownup!

Amazing cookbook suitable for teens & adults. The bonus is the history that accompanies the recipes as one traverses the liturgical year.

I bought this book because I thought it would be a great way to learn and practice the liturgical year while trying some new recipes. The book is much more than a cookbook. The stories of the Saints, the explanation of the liturgical seasons, the artwork and the illustrations are lovely.If I have one complaint about the book it's that the type is very small and a bit hard to read when the type is in italics. This should be a book for a wide age range but I feel it's better suited for older children and young adults because of the type.

It's a bit thick; I assumed it would have a lot more recipes.

The recipes are a fun way for parents to help their children learn about their faith. Along with providing beautiful photography, each recipe contains an introductory paragraph explaining the significance of the event to be celebrated. Highly recommended for all Catholic families.
