Before my review, I have to say something--I am addicted to finding the perfect pen. Every single time I get to the store (or wherever I am that happens to sell pens), I look and see what new styles have arrived. It is amazing with what they come up with--extra fine, 0.7/0.5/0.2, micro fine, etc.When it comes to pens, the thicker the ink, the more happy I am writing. I prefer BOLD ink, but good luck trying to find BOLD, as it must not be that popular. The only decent pens that call themselves BOLD come with a high price tag, even for someone that LOVES pens.The reason why I don't use the Micro/Extra Fine pen is because I have yet to find one that doesn't skip the ink when writing.When it comes to pen manufacturers, Paper Mate is one of the best. The Flair Medium Black pens are one of my all-time favorites. They have listened to theircustomers and came out with the Tip-Guard, which is pretty great because without it the tip can be damaged and basically you end up with a sub-par pen. Honestly, this is a pen for serious pen fanatics and those you care what their writing looks like.PROS: 1. Won't bleed through paper to the next page 2. Smooth writing with no skips or stops 3. Writing will look professional 4. Even works great withart projects 5. Not some cheaply made marker 6. Fluidity of Ink never disappoints 7. Felt tip is comfortable to write withCONS: 1. Don't leave them in the heat, ink starts to skip (but I live in the desert HA HA)If you are looking for a high-quality pen or a great writer, then the Paper Mate Flair is for you.

I have always loved these pens! I've used them for grading papers, drawing contour line drawings in art class and for general household use.

If you dont need but the black flair tip makers and just the black this is perfect

They don’t smear, and are always a reliable felt tip pen to turn to! My favorite pens by far I use them everyday
