Timex Expedition Scout Black Dial Green Nylon Strap Gents Watch T49961

This watch is much nicer than the Citizen watch I paid 3x what I paid for the Timex! The Citizen's crystal scratched very easily, and within a few days! By the end of 5 months, it was almost unreadable! The Timex is more durable, no scratches so far! Amazon wouldn't let me post a negative review of the Citizen watch, so I am comparing the 2 in one review! The Citizen hands were supposed to be illuminated, they weren't! The Timex has the Indiglo feature, so I can now see the time in the dark. The ONLY thing Citizen has over Timex, is the face of the watch is a solar cell! No need for winding or batteries!

This is a very nice watch for the price. The indigo backlight works perfectly at night, east to read, and comfortable to wear. But… as I wear this nearly every day, the connection where the strap meets the face of the watch is looser than when it is brand new. Has not broken but it noticeably looser. Overall still 5 stars, only that one small complaint.

Has been decent product for price. I owned this same watch previously. Had to replace it when stem pulled out while trying to adjust. Cheap foreign metal in stem that just broke after little pressure. Of course it is a cheap watch and you usually get what you pay for.

Very sturdy and well constructed watch. You can change the watch bands to make it more stylish and versatile. I love how I do not have to worry about hitting something by accident or bumping into something and scratching my watch. Highly recommend.

My old Timex was over 10 years old ($48), and pretty banged up, so I felt I should get a new one. I like the new one’s military look, and the easy to read dial The strap could be longer, but I’m a big guy. Only a few dollars more than the old one. What more could you want?

I love this watch I use it for daily use its comfortable and accurate the indiglo makes it easy to read in the dark. It was a great buy!

it's a great watch for as long as the battery holds out - after that you're screwed. I bought it in 3 months ago, now it needs a battery which is no big deal. However when I popped the back off I quickly discovered it isn't possible to put it back on - even with a watch press. To put enough pressure on it to get close you have to apply a lot of pressure - so much that the front glass will break- mine is as you can see now a 50$ salvage watch band--- and the back is still not on. After the glass broke I even put it in a vise to see if I could get it back in and it still won't go. I have no idea what they expect a person to do-- but as far as I can tell once the battery runs out you might as well throw it away because you will never get the back on it again without it cracking

Reminds me of the watch I wore in the Army. Rugged and functional. I bought one 6 years ago and never had a problem with it until the stem broke. I hope that this one lasts at least as long.

Acheter en juillet dernier , cette montre a tout pour plaire , verre minéral (résistes mieux au rayure ) et ce même avec qu'elle que rayure franchement il fraudais chercher la petite bête pour voire les rayures . Le cadre est en Acier inoxydable ce qui ajoute de la résistance aux multiples chocs que ma montre a reçu . Le vraie plus de cette montre c'est ce système Indigo qui est vraiment génial et peut orthodoxe sur une montre analogique . Autrement le premier petit bémol c'est sont bracelet qui n'est pas NATO mais cela n'est pas un problème , on coupe les bracelets au ciseaux , on achète une paire de bracelet NATO en largeur 20 mm et on l'installe et là vous aurez une montre a toutes épreuve . Le second petit bémol c'est que cette montre fait du bruit la nuit mais bon au moins elle fonctionne et elle est très jolie avec ces aiguilles phosphorescente ================MaJ================ Après 2 ans d'utilisation je vais maintenant vous donner plus de précisions sur le long terme concernant la Timex expédition: tout d'abord j'ai changé le bracelet qui était d'origine non NATO par un bracelet NATO ce qui a pour effet en fait d'être plus résistant mais j'ai eu une barre qui s'est cassé bon ceci n'est pas très grave puisque j'ai acheté un kit pour réparer ma montre en mettant la petite barre de maintien de du bracelet sinon la montre elle prend du retard au moins 2 heures par jour donc il a fallu que je règle quasiment tous les jours ma montre signe peut-être que la pile est usée et qui va falloir peut-être la changer autrement à part cela la montre fonctionne très bien je suis très content de mon achat je ne le regrette pas c'est une très belle montre et d'ailleurs je pense que je vais peut-être pas tarder à aller voir un horloger pour voir comment peut-on faire pour changer la pile qui est situé sur la montre. Sinon au niveau de l'étanchéité de la montre n'y a aucun soucis je la lave tous les jours elle est partie dans de la flotte. Bien entendu elle a eu des petites rayures ça c'est normal le revêtement est un peu rayé mais personnellement le niveau d'usure est pas aussi dégradé de ce que je pensais de cette montre le système indigo qui permet l'affichage fluorescent fonctionne toujours donc timex pour moi ça reste une marque fiable malgré des petites défauts qui subsistent ça reste quand même une montre abordable et peu cher.

Cette montre -contrairement à d'autres en entrée de gamme- est faite pour être portée 365 jours par an, sans histoires. Son design est classique, voire vintage, agréable et avec une bonne finition. Pour quarante-trois euros...
