I purchased this as an upgrade from a generic cheap starter 2 pack and it is a massive improvement. I saw this paddle recommended as a good budget option in a few different places and decided to give it a try since it was only $20 after discounts/sale. Other commonly recommend "first upgrade" paddles were $75+.The carbon fiber face surface provides excellent grip on the ball for spin, and the 16mm thickness gives plenty of control for beginners. Weight and size are otherwise very standard. The provides cover, grips, and face eraser would make this last a while as it seems fairly durable.Overall I would highly recommend this paddle to anyone looking to upgrade from a cheap starter paddle but not ready to drop more money on a "serious" paddle.

The media could not be loaded. This paddle, for the price, is honestly really solid.This is not a thermoformed paddle, which I believe is important to note. Nonetheless, it performs really well as part of the gen 2 paddles.Very solid recommendation for a budget conscious beginner player.
