Highly recommend
Great hair pins that actually work and don't hurt your head

Just slip straight out.
These were pretty much useless. I have fine wavy hair and they just slip straight out. There is no grip on them and the gap through the middle is too wide to provide any hold.

Poor brittle quality
Mediocre quality The plastic feels very brittle not sure how long these will last says made in USA. But feels more like a really cheap import Some of the prongs stick out at diff angles The concept is good but buy better quality these are spikey and brittle

Good to experiment with
If you are like me and want to experiment to see if the higher end, branded version of these plastic hairpins will work for you, these are a good option. It's helpful to see whether this style of pin will hold your hair or whether you actually like wearing your hair in the styles for which they are best suited. I'm reasonably happy with the success of my trial runs - although I can see how they won't necessarily be the first thing I reach for every time I want to put up my hair. They certainly work as shown with the FF brand on social media - but it is important that you are willing to twist the pieces of hair that you are trying to hold back into "ropes" in order for the "head" of the pin to have a good chunk of hair to hold onto. I find that this has its limitations in hairstyles. As for the french twist style, I had good success using several pins as shown. I suspect that these plastic pins are a different type of plastic to the expensive ones. Whether this proves an advantage (more flexibility, less prone to breaking) or whether the higher end pins are stiffer and therefore hold smaller amounts of hair - I can't say. But I could see how these could eventually stretch and lose hold altogther (and they would definitely be prone to break as well, if opened up too wide.) As for value for money, whilst 10 of these costs less than half the price of 3 FF pins, they are still costly enough after adding shipping - I imagine if you could get them in the U.S. they would be very inexpensive indeed. Still, they're a relatively risk free buy if you want to see what styles you can achieve with this type of pin. Not as pretty as the social media ones but do the job most of the time.

Easy to break, not good with thick hair.
Cheaper alternative to what you’ve seen on target Instagram adds and the price reflects it. I’ve snapped quite a few of these with thick hair. I succumbed to Instagram and the ones on there are far better and hold my hair better. They’re also bigger so work better for thicker hair. These ones are smaller and flimsy.

Holds curls no slipping!
Oh my word. I have curly shoulder length hair. ONE of these little numbers hold the lot in a twist! Nape of my neck is grateful ( currently 22 degrees) in SCOTLAND! IN AUGUST! I would normally just shave, I'm persevering on the hair journey! So good, such value. Recommend!!!

I have fine hair and these work great for pinning my hair back. They're not too heavy, they never fall out. I can pin my hair back with these very comfortably and keep it up all day. I have tried a lot of other clips and pins and elastics and nothing works this well for my hair. My head is very sensitive to tension and if it is pinned too tightly I get headaches. I barely notice that these pins are in and they keep the hair out of my face. I also love that these are American made and very affordable. I will be buying more.

It took a few tries to get the hang of how to use these, but once you get the right angle, they really hold quite well. I prefer these to small hairties when I do a braided/twisted headband with my hair as they are less damaging and keep the ends from swinging forward.

Epingles de bonne qualité. Qui tiennent bien et permettent de fixer des mèches de cheveux fins.
