I have over 20 years of experience with RC planes, boats and cars. These boats are great fun. I bought them to take on vacation to a beach house. Good range on the radio. The self righting feature is wonderful. I was very pleased to find that the throttle and steering are proportional and it has a low speed reverse. A very nice feature is that you can set a max speed with a dial on the hand control. This let's you set it lower for extended run time, for younger kids, or for pool use. My 4 year old grandson ran it with my help and the top speed set low, which is still fast enough for fun. I would expect most 8 year olds could master these. Interesting safety feature, the boat won't run unless the boat is in the water. You can't accidentally run the motor out of the water making it safer for kids. Battery life is good. When the battery in the boat gets low you get an alarm on the hand control. It leaves you enough power to bring the boat back. You get a reasonable run on the battery but recharge is 1-2 hours. Only downside is you can't buy extra batteries of the right size with the right connector so you can't swap batteries while running both boats at the same time. I had a question that I posted to the company. I got a response the same day by email. Excellent customer service. Recommended! Nice travel case. We will have a lot of fun with these.

Took the boats out today and they were a lot of fun for my boys! They stear well, self-right, and are sturdy. One propeller got dinged up already which slowed that boat down, so I was pleased there were extras. I also love that they have multiple beeps to let you know when the batteries are getting low- with a faster beep as a final warning.

My 12 yr old and I love these boats! We’ve used them at the lake and a pool setting. They are great quality, very fast, and easy to figure out. It’s nice that they come with silicone nose guards because we’ve already seen how much they come in handy. Customer service has been helpful in helping me find extra nose guards to have on hand. The biggest selling point for me in addition to how long the battery lasts and how fast they go, is that they come with a case for easy transport.

Decent quality, probably go about 10-13mph. My 5 and 10 yr old boys enjoy them.

Lasted two months, leaked, and fell apart. They worked out of the box fine. They are quick and fun. But both of them took on water. They started working again after drying them out, but ultimately, both quit. We had them about two months, and they were used about six times. Way overpriced for a disposable boat. Update: After a one star review, customer service contacted me and offered a resolution. I did not contact them. Because the customer service was pro-active and reasonable in trying to address my concerns, I have to jump this up to five stars. After all, things can go awry and standing behind the product without red tape and time is a big plus. So five stars are earned because of their great customer service.

These are great! 5 year old could operate and drive without issues. Only con is the battery doesn’t last very long so we purchased a backup. These boasts come in a great case and are pretty tough.

Bought these to have when the grandkids came to visit. 7 and 3 year old had a blast. The 3 year old kept trying to run over his big brother. These boats seem to be very durable and I think we will have a lot more fun with them. They move very fast on the pond and reach way out there. And if you have a question, tech support has always been responsive.

Very very slow. Buy a better boat. The prop is way to small it cavitates 99 pecent of the time. If using IN lake with even the slightest Lilly pad or vegetation. The boat will get stuck or not even want to move.. the rudder some times doesn't want to turn all the way left. We bought it for our kids but even they are frustrated with it. It's suppose to be fun and easy to use but it's more of a hassle when it doesn't want to move or turn all the way. Junk. The speed is a lie the distance is a lie the battery life is a lie. The only truth is it's a boat that should be in the bottom of the lake.
