For those that like to taste tomato
I have noticed for some years now, how tasteless tomatoes have become in the UK. Where we once imported tomatoes out of season and those that we produced ourselves seasonally the flavour was much better. We then started importing factory grown tomatoes from Spain and started growing our own in factory sized greenhouses. Over time the tomatoes have lost their flavour and are now quite bland. One thing that I really don't like when it comes to tomatoes is the fact that all supermarkets sell "baby plum" tomatoes, that are picked before ripening and are nowhere near maturity. Why not leave the plum tomatoes on the vine longer until they are fully grown and full of flavour? Those that have travelled to north Africa, East Africa and parts of Asia have most likely tasted the fresh plum tomatoes, which taste even better than the tinned ones. This powder is from those types of tomatoes. The tomatoes are mature, and ripe when picked. They are then dehydrated and ground to produce this powder so the full flavour remains. This is certainly a product for those that like to taste tomato and not water, like the UKs tomatoes. If you have ever had a drink of bottled tomato juice or even had a drink of passata then you know what tomato is supposed to taste like. When rehydrated this tomato powder is actually better in taste than passata. It is full of flavour. Using this powder is easy. One can add a little to bread dough, with some mature chedar cheese and bake it. It is great for making soups and so easy to use as all one needs to do is add water. One can quickly make a tomato drink. However, personally I like this powder for making pasta sauces. When making a sauce there is no mess, no tins to open and empty, no jars going to the landfill, just lots of tomato flavour in the sauce. One other good use is pizza bases. One can quickly make a tomato sauce for use in pizzas. There are so many uses for this tomato powder and when reconstituted it works excellently with cheese, onion, garlic and many herbs. I am recommending this product as it is excellent quality, it makes bucket loads of tomato juice and it is excellent value for what it can be used for.

Very concentrated powered form that actually tastes like tomatoes 🍅
Normal fast delivery with prime This powder is great quality in my opinion and extremely concentrated-being dry of course. I’ve never used powdered form before, just the tube paste and without a doubt this powder is so much stronger and actually taste like tomato a lot more than the paste form for sure. I’ve only used it once so far but results are well impressive so definitely have high hopes for future dishes if the 1st is anything to go by. Also if you do the maths-then buying this works out so much cheaper than the concentrate past and way cheaper than if you was using tinned tomato’s ,apart from you wouldn’t have the tomato lumps or plumbs that is, but if your intention was to blend them anyway then this option is definitely better in my personal opinion. Decent price to on normal price and even better at the time of purchase as they had some good offers on their powdered and spices ect so purchased a variety of stuff. I can definitely see this lasting quite a while to compared to the tube concentrate I’ve normally used and I think this will be my new go to product in the future. Definitely without a doubt excellent value for money and if you use tomato paste or even actually tomato’s in your dishes and need an extra tomato taste then it’s definitely worth having this on stand by as I don’t think you’ll be disappointed-this is again my own opinion and many other reviewers to. Only a couple I can see don’t agree but every one to their own taste I guess. 10/10 without a doubt from myself 👍👍👍

Really nice.
Very tasty and useful item for lots of dished, but don't let it stand unused too long once opened or it will turn into a solid brick.

Economical over puree. Keeps without refridgeration.
This is so useful to have on hand I made some back into paste by adding 1 spoonful to 3 of water. This makes a sauce for pizza or to add to bolognaise. I put my powder into 2 jars to help keep it dry in the larder once the bag was opened. Will buy this again as it is more economical than tomato puree

Good quality, but very clumpy
Good taste etc., but it's extremely keen to absorb any humidity, clumps up very readily into one big mass, and I haven't (yet) been successful in drying it out again. Sort of a 'chewy' lump too, not like the way garlic or onion powder turn into lots of pea-sized clumps, that bash apart into powder fairly easily in a pestle & mortar - no, this is more like 'tear a piece off, and hopefully you wanted to add it to liquid anyway'.

Great stuff
Very nice powder, has the right strength to it and not bland. Nice sweet tomato taste.
