Works Great, App is User Friendly/Informative
So far, this air purifier has been excellent. The app is very detailed and easy to use, and I like how it explains the readings and what each level means. The technology is great, and the system actually adjusts on its own when windows are open, while cleaning, or when cooking. I do prefer the smart display on the larger unit, but this definitely gets the job done for bedrooms. It runs much quieter than it sounds in up-close videos, even on higher fan speeds. The air feels noticeably cleaner. We have noticed a difference in stuffiness and allergies. We have one large unit for the main floor and two medium ones for bedrooms. I plan to buy at least one more large and three more medium units because they work that well. Great value for the price and quality. I run these all the time at the moment, but love the option to schedule. The size is perfect for a bedroom.

Small Size, but Big Performance.
I read a ton of reviews, this one seemed to be Solid. App was easy to install and set up. Provides air quality statistics and other information. Provides plenty of options. Very quiet on the lower settings. The # 3 is louder that the rest, but never obnoxious. The air in the room is noticeably cleaner. Before I started using this, the dust would build up on all the surfaces. Should be a huge help when allergy season hits in the spring. Now there is hardly any dust at all. This is a very nice looking unit. Small size works well in small rooms and even on counter tops, etc. Well worth the price, would buy again.

If you pick the right size for your room, this purifier will keep your air fresh.
This air purifier is superb. At my townhome, i do not have a window in the kitchen and there is no opening to rout air from the over the range microwave air filter. it does only recycle the air pushing it with a lot of noise through the active coal filer. If i fry onion, the whole house smelled like fried onion. Not anymore!!! this air purifier is quiet and very efficient. Whether i bake or fry, this filter absorbs the fumes and outputs clean air. There is no more cooing smell flying up the stairs to the bedrooms. it works great!!

Quiet, Effective, and Worth It for Cleaner Air
I’ve been using this BLUEAIR air purifier in my bedroom and small living space for a few weeks now, and it’s been a noticeable improvement. The unit runs very quietly — even on higher settings it’s much less disruptive than I expected, so it’s easy to leave it running overnight or while working at home. It does a solid job of cleaning the air quickly; it claims to cover up to about 926 sq ft in one hour, and I definitely noticed less dust, fewer odors, and crisper air within that range. Setup was easy and the controls are intuitive, so you’re basically good to go right out of the box.

decent filtration at a reasonable price
Works well right out of the box. This the 4th one of these that I've purchased and all are still running strong. I have several family members suspectable to airborne allergies and these help quite a bit. We use the medium speed to keep down the noise and they run 24X7.

I THINK WE HIT THE JACKPOT
Have already noticed the cleaner air in our bedroom. This product is quiet, value for the buck and all good. So many have reported buying more. I will be buying more for other parts of our home.

Five years of nonstop operation and it still works like new!
This review is for the two 211+ (not automatic) units I've had since 2020. Initially, I purchased these after the devastating wildfires in the Pacific Northwest when people were sealing off their windows with tape and using box fans with furnace filters on the back in a desperate attempt to remove the wildfire smoke that had infiltrated all our homes. And with three not-small dogs anyway, it just made sense. Five years in now, I can say that I have been EXTREMELY satisfied and impressed with both of my BlueAir 211+ air purifiers. The initial setup and subsequent maintenance is effortless. You take it out of the box, put it's little prefilter on the base, drop in the air filter, pop the top of the unit containing the fan back on, and forget about it for a while. I replace the filters about every 6-9 months, and wash the prefilter cover way less often than I should considering the amount of dust it very efficiently sucks up. With one in the living room and one in the main bedroom, I have both ends of my home more than covered, as with the two combined, they are rated to filter more square feet of air than the size of my house. I've literally had them both running *nonstop* for the ENTIRE five years I've had them, and haven't had a single problem with either of them. Once in a while I'll come home to find that during rambunctious play or a particularly assertive barkfest at a delivery person, a dog butt has grazed the power button on the one in my living room enough times to turn the unit off. Kept on low, the fan is incredibly quiet and barely perceptible if at all. The only reason I notice it's been turned off immediately when I come home because the living room smells noticeably different when the purifier hasn't been running; the air smells comparatively stale and decisively more like dog than when it's running. I also noticed and appreciated their impressive performance in 2022 when once again, my city was infiltrated by wildfire smoke from fires that were literally hundreds of miles away. The air quality outside was dangerously high, but inside my home, per my thermostat app, the air quality was normal. This was particularly impressive considering it was literally snowing ash outside, harkening back to the much closer terrifying fires of 2020 that nearly breached city limits. Having these in my home gives me piece of mind that I'm about as protected as I can be against airborne pollutants like smoke, dust, pet dander, and the occasional cooking-adventure-gone-awry. Eventually when these do stop "biting the dust" as it were, I'll gladly replace them with the newer model that has the power button on top and the ability to turn off the power indicator light, which I desperately wish my older model had for my bedroom unit.

Disappointing lifespan - Very expensive lesson
We bought the BlueAir 311i+ after seeing all the glowing reviews and ratings, expecting it to be a solid investment for our home. I had waited and watched for it to go on sale so we could afford it and was thrilled to pick it up for around $210. The cost of the replacement filters is not small, so this allowed me to also buy filters as needed (we have 2 dogs and 2 cats and live in a dusty area, so we replaced them every few months). For the first nine months, it worked fine in our open-air main room. It seemed to help with general dust and air freshness and we were generally happy (even though the first time buying filter that cost 1/4 of the cost of a new unit was painful). But, it never really handled kitchen odors or smoke from the air fryer, which we use often. So, if you are hoping this will help with cooking smoke or odors, this isn't your product and you should keep looking. The app was unnecessary for us—more hype than useful feature. It is sort of a gimmick, really, in our opinion. A reason to charge more even though it is not terribly difficult to just touch the top of the unit if you truly need to change a setting. Also- it is just one more gadget pulling access on my wiFi and creating a vulnerability to my network needlessly. By around nine months, the unit started randomly shutting itself off. We would discover it was off, turn it back on, and keep using it. But, at about a year and a half, it began smelling like burning wires. That was the end of the road for us. We turned it off and unplugged it for fear it may start a fire. We had paid extra and purchased the extended Asurion warranty, but instead of a repair or a full replacement, all they did was send us an Amazon credit for the $209 I paid for the unit on black Friday sales. No refund of the warranty cost or the stack of expensive filters I have for it, of course. And, with inflation, that amount doesn’t come close to replacing the unit. Asurion first said they would repair it and had us box it up and ship it to them. Then, we got an email with this Amazon gift card instead. Very frustrating as Amazon no longer seems to have these in stock and it means we cannot take our refund and go purchase something else that might be a better price at the retailer of our own choosing. BEWARE IF YOU PURCHASE COVERAGE HERE ON AMAZON FROM Asurion. You don't really get your money back, you get the opportunity to purchase something else on Amazon (limiting your options for replacement). This product now seems to be unavailable on Amazon and I can only find it on the BlueAir manufacturer's website. Of course they are happy to let me pay full price since I cannot apply the stupid Amazon gift card Asurion sent me. What was supposed to be a premium air purifier turned into an expensive paperweight. Adding to the frustration, BlueAir’s customer support closes at 5 p.m. Central Time. That means if you live in the Mountain or Pacific time zones, their support shuts down mid-afternoon—not exactly convenient, and not a sign they care about serving the dusty and wildfire-smoke-ridden western states. If you have cats, another warning: the fabric filter surround is basically an invitation for scratching. You’ll end up buying more external filters than you’d like which ads to the cost of this unit. It basically looks like a big cat scratching post to your feline family members. So, there is that consideration I didn't anticipate. Consider yourself warned on that. I sprayed the fabric with some essential oils now and then and it seemed to make the kitties less interested in putting their paws on it. Just make sure you let it dry before putting it back on your unit... I hope that helps someone out there. (Cats hate citrus, which smells nice to us). Bottom line: I would not recommend this unit. For the money, it’s better to buy from a company with a real two- or three-year warranty that stands behind its products and has support staff available when customers actually need them. Don't do like I did and trust that Asurion extended warranty would make up for the weak warranty offered by the manufacturer. What is left of mine will now be a fancy trash can for my office and a visual reminder to never trust the extended warranty when the company, itself, isn't confident enough in their own products to back them for more than a year. See my photo and see why my cats think this is a scratching post (and maybe now it is).
