This is by far the nicest neck knife in its category.
The Kizer Groom Fixed Blade Neck Knife is an outstanding everyday carry option, especially for those who appreciate compact, high-quality blades. The micarta scales provide a fantastic grip, and the textured finish ensures secure handling even in wet conditions. The knife feels incredibly sturdy for its size, and the d2 steel blade holds an edge well while being easy to maintain. What I love most: ✔ Perfect size for a neck knife—lightweight yet capable ✔ Micarta handles age beautifully and offer great ergonomics ✔ Razor-sharp out of the box with a versatile drop-point design ✔ Secure sheath with multiple carry options (neck, belt, or horizontal) The only reasons I’m not giving it a full 5/5: ➖ The sheath retention is a little tight at first (though it loosens up over time) ➖ The stock paracord could be better quality but is functional and could easily replaced. Overall, this is a fantastic value for the price, and Kizer nailed the balance between functionality and portability. If you need a reliable, no-nonsense fixed blade for everyday tasks, the Groom is an excellent choice. Highly recommended and Amazon has the lowest price by far ( I also ordered the carbon fiber version )

Nice little edc knife. Sharp. Sheath is too tight to deploy easily
Nice handy little knife. Very light. Very sharp. Handle is small but I can get a good grip on it. Size is great for small work. The sheath holds the knife well for both neck or pocket carry. Deployment is the only issue I have with it. It takes too much hand strength to get the blade out of the sheath. It doesn’t have a good push off point for your thumb to aid deployment. I may take a heat gun to it to loosen it up some. (I’m hesitant, because that doesn’t always turn out well.)

Great edc fixed blade on belt or as neck knife.
I bought due to the price reduction, I carry several knives edc, avid user/collector. I like it more then I thought, though I am never disappointed with Kizer with 2 exceptions from their early line up, I have over a couple dozen now. This groom came flawless, excellent edge geometry, consistency and magazine paper sharp as usual, of course, but I did whittle withbth3 factory edge for about 30 mins and was every bit as sharp when I got home. But I took it further and is very slicey now. HT seems in between D2 range by the time it took and feel on stone so that's good but of course time will tell. Sheath is a bit thin but understandable as it is marketed as a *neck knife" so no ding there as it is done very well with excellent retention without being overly so as the thinner material allows. Came with extra handle scales (black g10) nice. Came with pracord like material for neck use, i will try it as a neck knife though it will probably go on my belt for edc, maybe, as it is lighter then I thought (good thing). Belt clip is (teklock) style and though many complain i have had good experience with them from other knives(various brands) bought in past several years and they are holding up for me and I do edc one daily. Came with typical Kizer sticker, microfiber cloth too. I am an avid American made premium knife buyer/user/collector(hundreds in my collection) and been carrying Kizer and other similar quality Chinese knives past decades and am impressed, NO longer is it true that all knives from China are junk, last decade has been leap and bounds in improvement in all aspects, quality, fit and finish, materials and the very important heat treat process and function, wake up American manufacturing! . I ordered a second one as soon as I got home. Nice job Kizer. Have a blessed day ya'll.

Thin and Slicey
Very much enjoy this knife. Interesting blade to handle shape as the blade cants upward toward the spine. Nice touch Kizer sends an additional set of scales. The blade really only is comfortable in the choked up position as the handle is small. I added about a 2-3” lanyard to make my hand feel more “locked in.” Kizer does a quality job on almost everything, so I’m sure the HRC is spot on. D2 steel is underrated and is super tough. Comes with a pancake sheathe that is thin with good lock up. If it was a taco sheathe this would’ve been an amazing find for the price I got it at. Amazing value for money.
