How many does it serve

Your math skills need some work. 16 servings of juice and 12 servings of milk is 28. So there are 24 servings of food, and unless you eat like a cow, that's enough for two people for 4 days at three meals a day. Also it didn't say 52 servings of food. It just says 52 servings total which is not an inaccurate description.

With 13,400 calories, and knowing that the minimal caloric need for an adult who isn't active is around 1200 calories per day (and you will lose weight at this level), this is roughly a 10-day emergency supply for one person, a 3-day emergency supply for 3 people. If you are truly in any kind of a survival situation for 10 days on this diet where you are active, you will likely lose 5 to 10 lbs or more. If you really need this food, the bags won't be open long enough to worry about the food spoiling... you will eat it too quickly. At $15 per day. That seems excessive for the food alone, so what you are paying for is the storage packaging. Honestly, if you were trapped by an emergency and had only this to rely on, better plan for no more than a week absent significant discipline on your part.

what is the total calories of the kit

Could not say for sure. It has a variety of packets, different meals have different calorie count. As i have used some of mine..... I could not say how many of each packet comes in the order. Roasted chicken packets are 50 calories and the cheesy ground beef has 100 calorie count, etc. Hope this helps a little.

Would this be suitable for vegetarians (no jokes please)

Thank you for asking this question. I see a reply or 2 commenting saying if it's survival, then one should be glad for what they have and just eat it even if it's not vegetarian. I would just like to point out that there are people...such as myself....that are medically unable to eat meat. It's not a lifestyle choice. In a survival situation, I would not be able to eat the meat of any animal due to a very serious medical condition. So, while any person in a survival situation should certainly be grateful for what they're able to get/have, please do not forget about those of us that are truly unable to consume meat do to it being a medical emergency if we do.
