We recently took in three rescue kittens that were sick and super skinny. I was worried because other products had reviews where the kittens got diarrhea, and I couldn't risk that with these sick babies. This one had a lot of good reviews, so we tried it. It's a decent sized container; ours had some settling but was full. The dried formula smelled fresh and easily mixed with water with no lumps. The kittens love it, they are gaining weight, and no diarrhea! Great product!

I was desperate.my 24 yr old cat was dying. She wouldn’t eat, she wasn’t in pain, but vet said when animals die normally, they won’t eat. I couldn’t bear her going out starving to death. She has a heart problem and the vet said one day, she will simply go to sleep and not wake up. But she still wanted to drink! So I took a chance and bought this kitten formula. I also added a product for encouraging eating in a liquid form. I put a dropper full of that into the formula, made sure it was warm and set it in front of her. She drank every bit! Two weeks later, she is still dying, still sleeping, but healthier! She drinks her formula about an ounce every three hours! She loves it, she is happy, and has a chance to go out without starving to death. Gertie has been with us many many years. A best friend who grew up with my children who are long gone w their own lives. I just want my best friend to go out happy and satisfied. She deserves all the love she has offered for so long. She has been depressed since she lost her daughter last year. She is back cuddling with me all the time. Before this formula, she wanted to curl up in a box and do nothing but sleep. She is pooping and peeing regularly again, and her fur is thick and soft. Her heart still is off and on up and down, it seems to cause her no pain or discomfort. The vet said let her go out on her own if she is not in pain. So I watch, I cry I wait. And I am so joyful and grateful she is still here with me because of this kitten formula. I don’t know if it will work with all cats. But my old Gertie girl is still here and very happy. Like a kitten again. She even played a bit with her string. Then took along nap and woke up hungry. I highly recommend this product!

I recently acquired a pair of 2-week-old kittens whose mother was hit by a car. I purchased my first can of PetLac at my local pet store, and just ordered my second can from Amazon since the price is so much better here! Really a great product. I was told that kittens transitioning from mother's milk to formula often get diarrhea as their little systems adjust to the diet change. Mine had well-formed poop from the onset of feeding this stuff. Their enthusiasm at feeding time seems to indicate that they really like the flavor. (My adult cats like it too... they steal it from the saucer I've been setting out for the kittens to encourage them to learn how to eat from a dish. Ha!) If you have trouble with clumps, as some reviewers have mentioned, try fixing the formula in a watertight Tupperware container and shaking it instead of stirring it. I have found that shaking gets rid of the clumps a lot better and faster than stirring does. This product is working great for me and my kittens. I would definitely recommend it to anyone searching for a good formula to feed their orphaned kitten, or even for someone with a young newly-weaned kitten who they want to provide with a little extra nourishment.

Good product over all. But you must mix it well, not just stir it in water as it still has clumps if not mixed enough. Does cause diarrhea

Item came as scheduled. However, it was hard to get answers to all questions before purchase, so I ended up buying it to find out only after delivery, that it was not suitable for my kitty and was not returnable

Very good product

I expect the milk powder is okay, but because the container came with a language different to English, I didn't know how to prepare it. I guessed, and the kitten wouldn't touch it. Maybe having a translation on the tin, like other people do, would be an asset. I won't be buying any more for this reason.
