Review: Exstrimly Good - It took a little while to assemble the strimmer (tip - the diagrams are towards the back of the thick multilingual manual, the English text near the front - use bookmarks!), and text/diagrams not 100% clear (more like 80-90%). Once assembled, it worked very well. Contrary to a few reviews, I found it quite manageable, not too heavy, although maybe someone a bit slighter might need a shoulder strap. Battery life seems good. One point to note: the strimmer line is automatically fed out 1cm each time you stop the device, so don't stop/start frequently or you will waste a lot of line! I noticed that when the battery got close to exhaustion, while the strimmer still worked effectively (although noticeably less so than on a full charge), line didn't get automatically fed out. I previously used a petrol; strimmer and am very pleased to move across to this strimmer (normally recharged via the solar panels). But I’m now going to give it away to our new neighbour in the hope of encouraging him to trim his grass edges. We don’t need it anymore since buying this incredible Cordless Bosch. It’s absolutely brilliant. Light weight and powerful. There’s a bit of grassy waste ground next to our garden and we like to keep a clear pathway through it beside our hedge. I couldn’t wait until next summer to get trying out this new Bosch so I road tested it today Nov 23rd 2022. And I’ve been blown away by this incredible machine. It cleared the whole area in ten minutes, ten minutes, it always took me more than half an hour with my trusty old flymo mostly due to being careful watching its cable and not tripping on it. Do I recommend this new cordless Bosch? You bet I do. Wish I’d bought it much, much sooner. All my garden equipment is now cordless Bosch including my hedge trimmer’s and leaf blowers. Looking at the manual I would say no. **Q: is it the same battery as supplied with Rotak 43o Ll ergoflex cordless lawn mower** A: Yes, battery and charger are interchangeable with a range of bosch tools. Current 36v Garden and DIY tools use the same chargers, so the batteries should fit them all. **Q: is this machine adjustable to trim the lawn edge? if yes please explain** A: Yes, it can be adjusted with this model. Press the red button that you can see on the black plastic below the handle. This allows the head to swivel round. However I consider that it is easier and quicker to use a conventional pair of edging shears! BTW Get the more powerful battery option. I have the 1.3 mA battery which runs out very quickly. Unfortunately as mentioned in previous replies our batteries are voltage locked. As such for a battery to be compatible with your machine it would need to be 36V and any of our PBA 36V or GBA 36V batteries would be suitable. However, the speed is not variable (unlike my previous Black & Decker) so it is a bit too vicious around tree trunks and wooden fence posts and actually damages them.
