Works perfect for art. I've been experimenting with this for art but I want to get around to trying it out on some squeaking doors/drawers. It is definitely fine enough of a powder to mix and blow through an airbrush and has great shading and workability. I picked it as the economic choice but don't feel like it is cheap.

I should have read the reviews before I bought it.It showed up in a bag, not a bottle.As shown in many other reviews have already pointed out.This inconvenience.Also, the bag is not marked, so how many ounces is it?I don't know... hopefully, when I open the bag, it will work as advertised.But next time, I will get a brand that is actually in a jar.The bag is highly inconvenient.

I've always wanted to try out large scale drawings in graphite, but it's challenging to get the expressive strokes you see in other mediums- like chalk and charcoal. With this graphite powder, I feel like that's a little easier! If you carefully tip some of this powder into a pan, you can pick some powder up with a makeup pad or sponge and create some really smooth, large shapes very easily! If you mix the powder with water and use a flat paintbrush, you can even apply this powder to mixed media paper like water colors! It'll drizzle and flutter across the page like monochrome paint and it looks pretty cool. Naturally, any drawings you make can be smudged (even if you apply the powder with water and wait for it to dry), so you'll have to use fixative on your finished works to preserve them. The value of this powder is like a 3B or 4B pencil, like a medium range of darkness. Not too dark or light. Recommended for artists who love pencil drawings!

While the graphite powder was useful for my project, it does not come in a package as described and pictured. I bought this specifically to have a container to keep them on for the shop, but they came in a bag. The bag doesn’t seal well once you’ve poured graphite out so I have to be careful not to dump powder everywhere. I’d advise purchasing a different powder.

The powder may be good, I haven't used it, as I wanted a container with a lid - like pictured - but it comes in a resealable bag. I wanted the container with a lid to help prevent a mess which graphite powder can be horribly messy and stain everything. I picked this one because of the container and was very disappointed when received. Then when I went to return to purchase a different one in a correct container, I was informed it cannot be returned. After going through some steps, I was able to get a refund to order what I wanted but if you are looking for a good container to store graphite in, I wouldn't recommend this brand.

GOODTAKE Pure Graphite Powder, 16 Ounces Ultra-Fine Powdered Graphite, Dry Powdered Graphite Lubricant, Powdered Graphite for Drawing, Sketching, Pencils, Locks, Bearings got this to act as a dry lubricant. i have been using the same tube of dry powder for reviving my door locks for probably 20 years. its a small tube you could wrap your hand around it and it would be invisible. small tube. that probably contains .0005 ounces of graphite. it has lasted 20+ years. this is 16 ounces. this is what is called heirloom graphite, as it will easily last 14 to 15 generations--this is assuming all who receive it are handy and use it from time to time. if my progeny are not handy and it is looking that way, it may well last several hundred years. ha. the product itself seems fine. it does not share the sheen produced by the tube variety i have but feels slick between the fingers just like pencil graphite. i am sure it will serve my purposes well.
