Thirst Quencher Powder, 4 Flavor Variety Pack, 21oz Pouches (Pack of 32)

Good mix of flavors and reasonbly priced.

I am a very active person. Constantly training for marathons, triathlons, and even ironman and I have been getting the 51oz containers from Walmart for a while. I get 4 different flavors (204oz) at a time for some variety and they last me about a year, the only issue is the powder becomes moisture logged and is then difficult to transfer to my bottles (another reason to go this option, environmental friendly with reusable bottles). Since these come in smaller 21 oz packages, I expect no issues in this area. Although going this route is a little more expensive ($0.04/oz or ~$20 for 672oz) it is still WAY cheaper (~60-85% depending) than buying premade stuff. The best part of this variety pack is riptide rush for sure! For some reason they don't make it in the 51oz version and it's my favorite flavor by far. Someone posted about an 'expiration date'. Got mine 5/2014 and it says 2/2015 (9 months), sure that isn't much time, but remember 1.) it's powder and sealed 2.) expiration dates are not regulated by the government, so for many things (this included) they aren't as useful as most people like to think. I expect this batch to last me a little over 3 years.

These are great for use with the 5 or 10 gallon drink coolers. No messing with a measuring cup. For home use when you're just mixing a quart or two at a time I think the standard can of powder is fine. I used these for a camping trip with over 100 thirsty people and really liked the simplicity of mixing large amounts at a time.

I have to provide "liquid refreshment" to large groups of people. I used to buy cases and cases of bottles, and then have to deal with the disposal of the empties. Since buying a case of powder, I mix up a couple at the beginning of the event and everybody fills their own bottles. Much less waste and I can switch flavors every day. For best results, put a bit of warm water in the bottom of your jug, stir in the mix until it is dissolved, then add cold water and ice. The packets are designed for 2 1/2 gallons (at full strength). I typically will mix them with 5 gallons to keep less sweet.

I got sick of spending $1-$2 per bottle of Gatorade so I got some of this stuff to make my own. I was a little skeptical about how it would taste, but I can confirm that it tastes exactly the same! I use my reusable 32oz bottles to keep a few bottles on hand in the fridge, and I like the fact that I can use a little more or less powder to adjust the strength to my liking. I got this order about a month ago and haven't even gone through a full bag yet so I can tell this stuff is going to last me YEARS!
