Excellent product, very solid, sharp, and ideal for someone like me who enjoys cooking for medium to large groups. I was able to use it to make fajitas from 100lbs of beef and 60lbs of chicken for our church's Christmas party and it worked great.

Unlike some Japanese slicing knives, the bolster extends down the back of the blade so you can't poke your finger on the corner. The spine of the knife (like all Global GF- knives) is nicely rounded. Blade is stiff and sharp.

Our son has been buying us Global knives for years. We love all the knifes we have from Global. He has a few of the knifes but he didn't have a good carving knife. So we bought him the Global GF-37 which he was happy to get.
