What i mean by that is its not really a chutney more a thick jam, its sweet and has good flavour but isnt fancy with clear quality ingredients on show like some other brands. But as i use it mainly for adding sweetness to curries etc rather than just sugar for more depth it does the job well. Not sure i'd buy this brand to eat with say just poppadoms or sumin, though it wouldn't be bad in anyway, more than edible that way just that theres better brands for that imo.
